Very useful
I bought it as a gift to my mother who lives in Cuba, where they have many electricity problems and it has been very useful protecting the air conditioning

Excelente device
After testing similar items from Amazon, I found this device the most appropiate to protect my home entral A/C system. Protection voltage window not exactly what is being advertising but not a significant issue for my purpose. Protection time delay is accurate (4 min). Will use the device to provide protected-delayed 240 VAC to the primary of the 24 VAC control transformer of the A/C at the in-door unit of the system. Will provode update after testing installation.

SAVED MY SERVERS! - Bought two and they both work great
Update: I have two servers that cost roughly $1900 each, and they are both plugged into these. The building they are in had a power surge causing one of these to die and the other one to trip, however both servers are fine!!!! I immediately bought another two of these, one to replace the one that died, and one to have on-hand as backup. This is a small investment to protect such expensive equipment, VERY VERY PLEASED!!!Seem to work fine, I like the indicator lights on these. It scared me at first when my equipment was not powered on but after reading the label on the back I noticed these have a 4min power on delay to ensure power consistency first and I thought that was a nice touch.

It is not complete protection for 220 AC appliances such as pool pumps and air conditioning units but it is likely much better t
This is a rather unique product for the USA. There are few if any other reasonably priced voltage protectors for 220V. US sockets. This is not to be a surge protector but a switch that turns off when the voltage deviates from 220V. It is not complete protection for 220 AC appliances such as pool pumps and air conditioning units but it is likely much better than no protection. That being said I purchased two of these units and within 7 months one of them failed. The green light remains on but there is no current coming out of the socket. To me that means it is reading good 220 voltage but the "on" switch is not activating. I have purchased a replacement and will downgrade my rating if this continues to happen. There is no warranty and no one to contact for questions so keep that in mind when purchasing.

This protector does not work.
This device have never worked. After installing it, I had the disconnected because it never turned on. After resetting it, the unit worked for few hours and then it stopped working. Reset it and the same story repeats.

Great idea; need versions for foreign plug standards
This item will be used at my home in Argentina, where the power goes out daily and everyone runs around unplugging things when it does. If it works, it will be great and I'll probably buy more for my friends. If not, I'll update this review.I had to use adapters to convert the plugs on both sides to the Argentine standard, and the adapters are hard to find, expensive, and bulky. It would be great if there were versions of this item with plugs for different standards, and such an item would be worth quite a bit more. There could also be a version with multi-standard plugs like some adapters have. There are many countries that have worse power than here in the US, so I'd think such an item would be very popular. I hope the manufacturer considers making different versions.-jimc

This is great! When I learned about the 220 volt surge ...
I just installed this one today. I have used smaller surge protectors for years. Until recently, I had no idea that I could by a 220 volt version for an air conditioner. This is great! When I learned about the 220 volt surge protector, I bought one for a somewhat new digital air conditioner I wanted to protect. I had no trouble reading and understanding the instructions, but they were a bit different from the model I bought; so it took me a while to learn how to correctly install it. But once installed, it worked perfectly and the air conditioner works well. Of course it sounds funny that I would turn on an air conditioner in the dead of winter; but I just ran it for a short time. At least I think it is perfect.
