The WaterRower Digital Heart Rate Monitoring Kit, uses state of the art ANT+ wireless technology to accurately measure heart rate and display it on the WaterRower monitor. The kit includes: (1) Digital Chest Belt ANT+ Transmitter (1) External Digital ANT+ Receiver This kit is compatible with Series 4 monitors and plugs in externally. Digital heart rate monitors have a transmission distance of 1.5 meters (as opposed to 1.0 meters for analog monitors). This allows the receiver to be placed internal, or adjacent to the monitor removing the need for unsightly extension cables. Further, the use of digital technology improves accuracy and reliability. ANT+ digital wireless technology greatly improves the range and accuracy of heart rate information and is becoming widely adopted by industry leaders such as Cardio Sport, Garmin, Timex, etc. WaterRower will not provide support or documentation for any product transported outside of the original country of purchase.

Disappointing product!
I have difficulty maintaining connectivity to the waterrower S4 monitor. I’ve tried everything, used lotion on my chest and pads, even Vaseline, so it’s not a contact issue with my body. I think it’s the receiver that’s the problem??? The waterrower seeems like a high quality product too bad they accepted this poorly design product

Works but...
Difficult to use because it has to be in direct contact with the skin of your chest. A little difficult to adjust and attach as well... especially if more than one person uses it and you have to keep adjusting it. Works great but we don't use it often. We probably shouldn't have bothered to buy it...

Tried three different kits experienced signal dropout with all
I have tried three different kits with the same result, connection dropout. For me the product is flat out unusable. I also found that a call to WaterRower HQ to try and resolve a waist of time. They had no answers or suggestions. I love the rower but the software and peripheral equipment is in need of attention.

It is not useful
This device has connectivity problems with the the display on the rower. It will frequently disconnect and then reconnect. Also the data displayed on the rower from this device is too small to be useful. Save your money.

Doesn't work right.
Doesn't work right. It only reads for a few minutes in a row, then you have stop rowing, and adjust/wet the sensors. Kind of stressful trying to use it. Fitbit does a much better job.

Did not connect consistently. Was unable to use. Returned product twice

No Signal
I echo what others have already commented on: the device will only pair when practically on top of the S4 monitor and loses connection during exercise.
