Samsung OWC 4.0GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz SO-DIMM 204 Pin SO-DIMM Memory

I had a Dell desktop that worked fine for many years, but finally went kaput. About this time, my daughter was aware of an available open box Samsung laptop and brought it home for me. The laptop is very serviceable, but with the passage of time it was running very slow. Many times, I resorted to rebooting the computer to start over when the laptop froze up. I am quite computer literate and have opened desktops to do things like adding an additional hard drive. But I'm not really comfortable opening up a laptop and tinkering about. I knew that additional RAM might help as the laptop had only 4G, but didn't pursue this until a good friend encourage me to take a crack at it. I read a lot of interviews here on Amazon and focused on this 4G memory upgrade. One of the interviews recommended downloading a free copy of the software CPU-Z which I did (thank you very much). I learned so much about what is installed on my laptop including what RAM memory unit is already installed, how many additional slots are available and how well everything is working. I ordered the Samsung memory which was very easy to install. As soon as I rebooted and over the course of the last month, the laptop has been running lightening fast. I spent a lot of frustrating time before installing this memory, but am so happy with the results. Why did I wait so long? I will note that I'm not a gamer. I'm just checking websites, writing emails, printing and stuff like this. I hope my review is helpful and you will take the leap. The memory is so inexpensive, it would be worth a try even if you ended up tossing it for some reason.

This memory is compatible and works on a Lenovo X120e. Seeing the plethora of laptops this would work on including other Lenovos (though newer than mine) I decided to give it a try. Bought 2x4gb sticks and initially the laptop wouldn't boot up or even the screen come on, though it gave 5 very distinctive beeps. Opened up, switched the sticks between the 2 banks making sure each was fully seated and VIOLA, it booted right up without any issues and Win 7 Pro saw all 8gb! This is good in itself since the X120e is spec'ed by Lenovo that they only support it to 4gb max, but it can actually take more 16gb and I've read an instance of even 32gb running in one without issue. In any event this RAM is identical to the Samsung that came stock in my laptop, just 2gb larger per stick. I'd highly recommend this as it's the best priced RAM that I've seen for 4gb DDR3 PC10600 sticks, and it's genuine Samsung which you can't go wrong with.

Perfect. I have an ancient mid 2010 iMac 27" and found that there weren't too many options to get a single 4 GB RAM chip from. I had a single 4 GB on my desk, and think I must have broken a different 4 GB chip in the past year or so during installation attempts. But, that is the past.I carefully read up on specs, and compared with the chip on my desk. As well as reading the nice, full description provided by this product's listing.At first I got a bad RAM beep beep, but it was "pilot error". I hadn't fully pushed this chip in.Tangentially (well, that's how my brain works), I was somewhat amused that the package came from Dataram on Alexander Rd. in Princeton. Besides matriculating there, I remember Dataram during the 20 years I lived there, which ended nearly 20 years ago. Small world.As a retired/out of date computer genius, with far fewer $ than a decade ago, I'm not up to date on what kind of bloat ware might be slowing down my iMac. HOWEVER, in current work I need both Photoshop and Dreamweaver (with extensions) smoothly running at the same time. I think this should do the trick -- going from 12GB to 16GB of system RAM.

Not much more to say. Was looking for a cheap upgrade and this did the trick. 2 4Gb sticks. Just popped it in and restarted the computer and no glitches nothing. Speed upgrade for windows 10. Don't try to run it on 4gb of RAM it's a nightmare. Came fast and works great would buy again.

As narrated by other reviews this product was compatible with Porteges R-830 stock ram 4GB (Hynix). simply installed and booted the laptop and configured showed ram now to 8GB. Shipping was fast from Dataram. One less star as no where on packing / box is brand "Samsung" mentioned besides the sticker on Ram itself (as in photo ) & standard ram packing. What i had expected that being a samsung product would come with Samsung box etc. If this is a norm for a Known branded Ram to be supplied then please do apprise me and i will change my rating to 5 star.

I purchased this for an old ASUS Eee PC 1025C and was able to get the upgrade to 4GB of RAM right away at first try.If someone is trying to do this note it may not be such a great idea if you are planning on keeping windows as OS, since intel did not update the GMA 3600 drivers for 64bit versions and there are not good work around for this problem.So even if you upgrade to 4GB of ram wiin 10 or win 7 at 32 bit will only recognize 2.99GB of RAMIf you want to use the full ram you need to change the bios which is set to 32bits by default and you need to get a patched bios which allows 64 bits instruction and flash it accordingly.I did this under the CPU atom N2800 after modifying the bios to allow 64 bit set instructions I was able to install Linux 64 bits distro which worked for my case with the full RAM and was good.But under windows While I was able to install win 10 and 7 64 using 4GB I could not get a better resolution than 800 by 600 which was not my game and I will not recommend it. Since the PC was not a for a linux user. I had to stay with the Win 7 32 bits with an only upgrade to 3GB of RAM :(

Easy to install, worked better than expected. Value to cost ratio is great. I have 2011 iMac with 4 GB of RAM. I Upgraded to 16GB of RAM with this purchase. Computer performance more than doubled!
