Excellent solution for bike communicators!
I'm using with my Scala G9 set so my wife and I can share tunes on the bike; works perfectly, especially compared to the other 'solutions' I tried. Since you can only pair your phone to one headset or the other, this device allows 2 simultaneous connections that stream the same audio source. The best part is it has 2 input jacks, so I can also use my iPod on one input and my phone on the other so I can get music and GPS simultaneously since the AUX (phone) input will override the music with voice directions from navigation when necessary. This is great since my phoen will only last for probably a half hour once I turn on bluetooth and GPS at once- the Sena device has its own power supply so it doesn't drain my phone or ipod to use both at once, conserving battery on both inputs for the ride. The first solution I tried was from Kokkia- a 'dual stream' ipod adapter. Couldn't really get it to work properly, even with help from customer support which is based in Korea I think. It would pair to each headst, but would alternate streaming between the headsets. Never did get simultaneous streaming to work at all, so I returned the unit. Also, this unit drew power from the ipod, so it would drain my music pretty quick. The second slution I tried was to get 2 cheap bluetooth dongles with 1/8" headset jacks and put them on a Y splitter plugged into the ipod. This wouldn't work since they seemed to clone the bluetooth MAC addresses, so while they would pair to the headsets, they seemed to both try to connect as the same unit so once the streaming started it would jump from one helmet to the other, but only once did it do both at once (out of a hundred tries!). Maybe 2 different brands of this type would have worked, but at that point I was sick of trying it :PSo, once I found this unit, have to say I was happy to see it appeared designed to solve my exact situation. Mounts to my RAM fork stem accessory mount system perfectly, has its own battery supply, and streams simultaneously to both of my headsets with no operability issues- turn them all on and they connect up without any gymnastics. It also connected to my Scala Q2 teamset, but I wound up upgrading my teamset to the G9 anyway. If you're on a bike and want to easily share tunes with no wires connecting your passenger to you, this is the way to go to do it easily and efficiently!

With a modification it's perfect.
The media could not be loaded. If you want this to be a permanent part of your bike and power on and off with the ignition then get a standard wire in mini USB power cord and wire that to the bike. Then open up the SM10 and disconnect the battery. Yes, disconnect it's battery on the inside. This will make it turn on and OFF with the bike. if you leave the battery connected, it will stay on until the battery is dead and stay off until the battery is charged.Works great for the wife and I to listen to the Sirius/XM radio on the bike clearly, it will even pipe in the GPS audio along with the XM.And for those that claim it doesnt work, watch the video. it does work and SENA will never ever admit to it because their engineers did not think that most people would want to use it this way.

Performs well for it's intended purpose. Solid connectivity and easy to use.
I bought one of these for use on my motorcycle with the Sena SMH10 headsets that my wife and I wear. Since we both share the same taste in music and the SM10-01 prevents us from dragging out the 3.5mm y-splitters to hardwire up to our headsets, I figured give it a shot.So far I have been giving it a workout with my Samsung HS3000 , Jabra clipper, and Motorola SF600 Wireless Sports Headphones - Retail Packaging - Black for the past few days. It consistently streams clear, stereo, bluetooth audio to all my A2DP/AVRCP capable headsets.I do want to clarify something that I have seen some confusion on:This device connects to your phone with a wire only (included, but it's a standard cable). The device then broadcasts whatever is received over the wired input, to (2) wireless bluetooth headsets which are A2DP/AVRCP capable. It will give the "aux" port priority- This device does not pair to your phone.- This device does not take a wireless signal from your phone and rebroadcast it out to (2) separate endpoints*.The second scenario above IS possible, but see the bottom of this post for more on that.Hardware:My initial impression of the hardware is it's a solid, compact, well made unit. The port seals and rubber plugs are not just there for show, they seem fairly stout yet easy to remove. Overall the unit itself is about the size of a small flip phone and has a rubbery finish. So weatherproof, compact, rugged, simple are the things this hardware says to me.Whats inside the box:- SM10-01 unit.- MicroUSB cable (right 90 degree angle style)- (1) 3.5mm "3 pole" coiled ~3' cable, for general stereo audio.- (1) 3.5mm "4 pole" coiled ~3' cable, for play/pause control on devices which support play/pause at headset and the device (ie: iphone).- Cigarette lighter charger (hardwired MicroUSB style, not a USB port that makes use of the earlier mentioned cable).- (1) Handlebar mount kit.- (1) Cradle mount kit (otherwise known as a plastic plate with double sided foam tape on the back of, that you could screw o tape onto a surface, and then attach the SM10-01 onto).- Instruction book in English, Spanish, French. For the mounts, I should mention that they are both quick-release style. Meaning that you can leave the mount attached and just press a tab and slide off the SM10, so you don't have to tinker with remounting it each time.In summary I would recommend using this device for motorcycle applications where (2) people (or 2 BT end points) want the same source but are not in a common space. Meaning, I wouldn't attach two bluetooth speakers side by side to this and try to use it like a stereo because it won't work out how you think. This is because if one of the receiving units comes out of sync or "slows down" due to a packet error or something (bluetooth is data after all) it can be hard to "resync" the two sources without resetting the SM10. Since this device is designed mostly for use with people wearing helmets, I would expect this - just wanted to clarify it. This isn't a problem for people who use this device for its intended use, I just wanted to mention it.I docked a star from it being 5 star because it claims you can use a 4 conductor aux cable to control your device, but that didn't work reliably. Not sure if its phone, headset, or SM10...but for now the SM10 is taking the blame.* - If your goal WAS to accomplish 100% "wireless" use, you could purchase something like a Jabra CLIPPER Bluetooth Stereo Headset or a Samsung Stereo Clip-On Bluetooth Headset for Samsung HS3000 - Retail Packaging - Black , and connect that device to your phone wirelessly. Then connect the stereo output of that, to the input of the SM10-01, and you would effectively have a "completely wireless" solution. The caveat of going this route is that both of the aforementioned (which I have used) have about 1/2 the battery life of the SM10-01. I will give a nod to the Samsung for permitting it to be charged while being used, so if you have on-bike usb or charging, the Samsung is the way to go.

Sena SM10
Purchased this item along with the cord to use on my new Harley Ultra. I am using Nolan B1 bluetooth headsets in both my helmets, and thought this was a perfect way to use my phone though the new Radio that Harley put on the new 2014's. I went on line and downloaded the new program so that everything would be right from the start. I got it to pair with the helmets, but no sound. I tried the radio in my car, paired no problem, but no sound. I tried to pair it to a bluetooth portable speaker, it paired but no sound!!! Gave up and sent back to the dealer. I'm hoping I got a bad one and I am going to try another one from different dealer. Keeping my fingers crossed because this is the perfect piece for my system, if it will just stream the sound...
