Rain Roll On Perfume Oil by Demeter, 0.33 Oz, Long-Lasting

I'm on a bit of a Demeter kick at the moment and I've tried some amazing scents from them (Floral Show, Honeysuckle, Salt Air), and some not-so-great scents from them (Clover, Cinnamon, Turpentine). One thing I have learned is that while they do some fragrances as a spot-on imitation (Turpentine!), others are sort of an interpretation. I was hoping rain might emulate the smell of concrete pavers and soil absorbing the rain as it fell- there's a very distinct smell to that. Alas, rain is NOT that. Instead, it's a clean, green, almost citrus-y smell. It reminds me of herbs that smell like citrus. There's also a transparency to it, which is nice. So no, this isn't the EXACT smell of rain. But it certainly evokes rain. And it's BEAUTIFUL in a very unisex way- it just smells fresh and clean. This is probably one of my favorite Demeter fragrances. It isn't what I was expecting, but it's even better.

My only wish is that it lasted longer but it really does smell like rain. The roll on makes it easy to carry in my tiny purse. Since I prefer a subtle smell and find strong perfumes offensive, I will buy this again. Love the scent!

This is garbage! Has zero smell. Do not waste your money!!!!

Smells like the salt water at the beach

I didn't really know what to expect here. I mean rain is water, and water doesn't smell like anything. I suppose I expected something much lighter like when there has been a total downpour for days and you go outside. Or when your jacket is soaked. But no. It smells like those Gap signature scents from years ago. It's very fragrant and I can't quite pin the scent. Floral, but not really. I smelled my boyfriend's aqua di georgio by armani which is a really popular scent and it smells very similar but somehow stronger.

I love this light and fresh scent. Nothing heavy about it. Im sensitive to many fragrances. I laugh cuz I think it smells like fresh cut celery leaves. (Noone else does:) Almost 5 stars but the scent wears off too soon for that.

didn’t smell like rain and lasted for a few minutes

I wanted a rain-like scent and this seemed to be it but it isn't worth the time and money. The scent is like rain although more flowery; however the scent disappears within five minutes so it is useless.
