Yes. The laminator comes with a piece of cardboard that you need to run through the machine before you turn it off, or periodically throughout its use if you're laminating a lot of pages.

This machine is crap. Didn’t last two weeks and they would not replace or make god on!

Yes, but you may need to put it through twice to get a good seal.
