Question 2

But ... what "natural" flavors are used in this? Any pork?

There's nothing on the label indicating this product is 100% vegetarian, if that's what you're asking. On the the hand, there is also nothing listed in the ingredients that's specifically an animal sourced product. I use this in my salads and I prefer it's taste, texture, shelf-life, and convenience to actual bacon pieces. If you're a "health-nut" or a "holy-devout spiritualist", I'm not sure why you would be eating this anyway, but I prefer these to real bacon for my salads and this particular brand of bacon-bits is better than most others I have tried.

I am confused.  I called McCormick a while back and their phone representative told me these were not vegan.
