Improvment over the original Chroma from 2015.
I used my trusted Chroma USB cable for 6 years before I decided to upgrade to the new Chroma 8 version. I was curious if they could improve on the already great sounding cable. I'm glad I did because it's an improvement over the older version. It's even more relaxed, detailed and musical than the original. I tried different USB cables before, including the Furutech 2, but I kept coming back to the Chroma because it's calmer and less fatiguing and more musical sounding. It's also surprisingly inexpensive. I don't like silver plated cables because they usually sound bright, therefore I skipped the more expensive models from Wireworld. The Chroma 8 is Highly recommended. After about a year, I decided to try the Supra USB cable. It received positive reviews, and many recommendations as a cost affective upgrade. After the proper burn in period, I had it in my system for 2 weeks to evaluate it. This USB cable has an even more relaxed and more spacious sound, but with a more prominent bass. That may work in some bright systems, however, it also has less detail and a less controlled, more prominent bass. This overwhelming bass was distracting, I just could not get used to it. I prefer a lean, controlled bass and more detail in my system, that's what the Chroma is all about. I'm listening to the Chroma again, and the pleasure of Music listening is also back. Yes, it's not perfect, but in my system it works like a charm and giving me more listening pleasure. I think USB cables are system dependent. Try them out and see if it complements your music system. The next inexpensive improvement I did was the replacement of my interconnect cables with the inexpensive Canare L-2T2S as a great interconnect cable with a sweet fully fleshed out midrange from Redco and the Belden 9497 Speaker Cable from Ebay both for about $50 together. These are the best audio bargains! I should also mention the inexpensive Gotham GAC2 as a great interconnect cable also.

Well engineered, well build as other WIREWORLD cables
That was the last non WIREWORLD cable in my system I had to replace with CHROMA 8 USB 2.0 to get my Tidal Masters to play from network into reference audio system. Immediate improvement comparing to stock USB 2.0. For reference I stream from ThinkPad X1 through Marantz SA 8005 DAC with WIREWORLD Equinox for connection to Anthem PRE-1 tube preamp running two WIREWORLD Equinox pairs into two NAD 216 THX (vertical bi-amping for channel separation) with B&W 804-s connected with WIREWORLD Atlantis. Finally quality of streaming sound becomes at least tolerable. I probably will upgrade to WIREWORLD Ultraviolet 7 next to spend more time streaming...

Perfect USB 2.0 cable for DAC
Works great on MacBook and iPad (with dock). Wireworld cables are a cut above and this is a good value in their economy line. I have purchased 2 additional for other purposes - highly recommended.
