K&NRF-1020DL Blue Drycharger Filter Wrap - For Your K&N RF-1020 Filter

I bought a cheap off brand filter a year ago. It started coming apart and putting little blue fuzzy things into the motor. When I spent the extra money on the K&N you could see the difference in quality.

If your vehicle seems to have lost its growl, might you have checked the cold air intake air filter LATEly? This one fits the AF Dynamic Cold Air Intake sold on Amazon and is a great replacement filter for that application. This filter works well on my vehicle and was a 45 min change-out inclusive of a completion test run around the block.

I bought this for a Mustang GT with an exposed GT 350 Shelby air filter - no box or cover. It does a good job of protecting the filter from water and dust, which will likely help prolong the life of the filter. On the performance side though, disappointing as whatever performance gains I saw from swapping out the stock air box seemed muted once I put this pre-filter on. At first, I thought it was in my mind but after a couple of weeks of trying it with and without the pre-filter, the performance loss did not justify leaving the pre-filter on. It could be different for you if you off-road or your car is exposed to weather conditions that require a pre-filter. I would consider this for an ATV or other off-road vehicle.

Very Amazing product so far got it today and it fits my 63-1561 air intake filter. I have to see if it's water resistance before i give it all 5 stars.

It’s a great idea and good for off road and dust etc, I’m just not sure it’s somehting you want to leave on your car for normal driving? Try blowing through it, it’s deff I let restrictig air flow and if air flow equals performance wouldn’t that hinder it? I would love someone to dyno their car with and without the pre-filter I would guarantee a performance hit! I’m using it for water protection since my 2017 Gt has an opening directly above the cobra cold air intake? They say water doesn’t his the filter just take a garden hose and simulate rain and put a paper towel on your filter and you’ll have your answer

bought a k&n filter for my truck amazon was 30$ cheaper.

If this is necessary, WHY DOES IT NOT COME WITH THE FILTER/INTAKE KIT?? Too new to comment on longevity, easy to install, VERY overpriced.
