This is a good product... BUT the title is actually very misleading (probably false advertising to be honest) as it is worded in a way that makes you think you are purchasing a 3 pack of these socks, but you actually only get 1 pair. I am new to using compression socks and they seem to be a good quality product, however, the only reason I parted with my money for these was because I thought they were a pack of 3.

First time using this type of long sock to go running with. As expected they were a chore to put on and a chore to take off however this was expected as they pull in your calf's which sounds painful but it's not. In fact while I was running you get less movement from them giving you a more comfortable run.What I did notice and should have realised was because the sock is so tight you lose some padding between you and the ground. I never realised how much my other socks take away the feel of stones when running, I assumed it was my running shoes but with these socks on I felt everything. Another point to make was because they are so tight, my shoe moves around a little as it's lost a bit of that sock grip I was so used to.Neither of these are the socks fault though; they are just things I have noticed. I felt comfortable running with them; they let me wear shorts in the colder months and the most surprising thing of all, when I came to remove them they were bone dry. Brilliant! Would buy again

These socks are long elasticated socks which have a similar thickness to an ordinary dress sock. They are attractively designed and packaged. They are coloured and patterned black with a dark grey heel and toe and striped lime green, grey and black on the sole. Black is an ideal colour for running or hiking across mud! Only one pair of socks (not three) arrived in a beautiful resealable plastic pouch that can be re-used for travelling and storage purposes.Made in China, there is no information about the fabric composition of the sock. I would, of course, expect some form of elastane. According to the marketing blurb, they are ‘breathable’ which would tend to imply that there is an element of cotton (or other natural yarn) in the manufacture of these socks.Nevertheless, I can most definitely feel the compression when wearing these and they keep my legs warm. The compression is graduated with minimal compression across the toes and increasing around the ankle, with maximum pressure around the calves. These are particularly useful to me at the moment as I have twisted my ankle and they provide an adequate level of compression without resorting to an elasticated bandage. I am also a runner and these socks will be invaluable in providing calf compression and support.My only quibble is the sizing. These are apparently L/XL (ideal for women shoe size 8 and upwards) and yet, I am a size 6. However, these fit me very comfortably and indeed, I do not think I would want the compression any tighter if I were to wear a smaller (more appropriate size). Of course, these socks would stretch for those with larger size feet but then this would mean that the compression may also be uncomfortably tighter?Having worn these socks for 12 hours, I noticed relatively shallow elasticated compression indentations on my legs upon removal. Disappointingly the reinforced stitching on top of one of the socks has also worked its way loose: I sincerely hope it does not unravel in its entirety!

My husband had a DVT a few years back and since then has had to wear compression stockings all the time. He was prescribed stockings on the NHS but the ones provided are quite thin and get holes in them quite quickly. This is despite the fact that they are made by Juzo and are extremely expensive. Rather than having to ask for frequent repeat prescriptions we tried to buy them ourselves and save the NHS the money. However, we were deterred by the very high price of the Juzo stockings. However I subsequently got a pair of these Porhowe stockings to try via Amazon's Vine Programme and my husband was very pleased with them. Yes they are tight to get on but that is to be expected. He found them comfortable to wear (or as comfortable as compression stockings can ever be). They were easier to remove than his Juzo stockings (I now wonder if this means that they are not tight enough?). The stockings were also of a thicker material than the Juzo stockings and appear more durable. They were also considerably less expensive than the Juzo stockings. He will continue to get Juzo stockings on prescription and these will be his primary stockings but these Porhowe stockings are very useful as spares. Because my husband liked them so much I have ordered another pair for him. Overall he is very happy with them.
