Hotronic FootWarmer S4 Universal

Purchased and installed in 2018. Still going strong.Easy set up. Instead of using the insoles with the ski boot, the included insoles with channel for cable management made install a breeze.Instructions were easy to follow.Before you install insole back into boot liner, you have to make a “T” incision/cut at the heal of the boot liner at the rear, near the base. Do not cut at the stitching but next to it. FYI - The formed insoles route the cables to the outboard side of the heal so cut the “T” to the outboard of the stitching. This incision/cut will allow you to push through the cable which will then have you route up the cable on "outside" of the boot liner. I also duct taped the cable to the boot liner to secure it from moving . Replaced the liner back into the boot and that’s it. It says to charge 24-72 hrs prior. We set them up and charged for about 15 hrs. Wife said they worked fine. She had the low setting so batteries weren’t getting drained as fast.We also bought the optional battery holder which provided better security for the battery as it clips securely to the boot strap and doesn’t slide off as with the original battery boot clip.

These worked great in my old cold ski boots. It doesn't make your feet extremely hot - but you don't feel cold at all. Best thing I can say is that even on cold days, with these in my boots, I didn't think about my feet.I highly recommend them.It did take us about an hour to figure out how to put them into the boots (the instructions could be a lot better). Now that I've done this once, I think I could install them in about 15 minutes.I also suggest getting the Hotronic Slide Strap Brackets for mounting the batteries easily to the straps on your boots.The only negative thing I can think of is that I wish they were cheaper - but, then again, I wish everything was cheaper. When I'm skiing with these on during a very cold day, I think they are worth every penny. I'm about to buy 2 more sets for my daughter's and wife's boots.

These definitely work and keep feet warm, and they should for $160. I would like to warn everyone that the 4th time I used them, I lost one of the batteries. It didn't stay on securely. I tried to retrace my runs from skiing and didn't find it. I think it is so dumb they are white, don't most people use them skiing?? Why not neon green or orange...oh its is because they want you to buy a $60 replacement one...anyhow, after asking every week at the lost and found, it finally showed up but with the back clip gone. SO now I am looking at spending another $11 on "strap brackets". I will review those after I give them a try. For the money, I think hotronic could be doing better by their customers.

I can’t believe I waited so long to purchase these, they’re a game changer! I can finally enjoy a 6-8 hour day of skiing without freezing toes. I have terrible circulation and my toes are always cold, when they’re trapped in a ski boot the problem is much worse. Before using these I could only last 1-2 hours before I had to come in, remove my boots and warm my toes.They were very easy to install. I used the existing liners in my boots. Watch the YouTube video, very informative and easy to follow.I only have to turn to the to 2 or 3 and have comfortable feet all day long. I also purchased the clips to attach the battery packs to my boots - they were very difficult to get on initially and terrible instructions but worked well. My snow pants cover the battery pack and cinch at the bottom so they are nice and secure.

These are absolutely the best. I have used toe warmers for many years and someone else recommended that I try boot warmers. I was worried about the cost, the warmth, and the fitting. I did a lot of research and asked for recommendations. Bit the bullet and bought hotronics. Best thing I have ever done! What a pleasure to ski with toasty feet all day long. Battery packs sit on my boot straps out of the way. The battery has 4 levels of heat. I find that #2 is the perfect for all day skiing.And if I need a quick burst of heat, you can move them to 4. There is an automatic timer (3 minutes) that leaves it at that level and then shifts down to a #3. Or you can change the setting to stay at that level. But it is not recommended. I seem to always have cold feet and actually find that a 3 setting is uncomfortable. I saw from reading other recommendations that you buy a different mounting system and I did so but it was returned. The factory supplied clip worked the best and is very secured. I cannot speak to the installation process and took my boots and warmers into my favorite ski shop and had them do it for me. Not because the instructions seemed difficult but because I didn’t want to spend the time “learning” how to do it. I am very pleased with the product. Highly recommend.

the cords going between battery pack and heater pad is very brittle. used them twice and the cord broke. i am in contact with hotronics to see if they will stand behind their product. they did work very good until failure.

I ski and skate my way through the winter and couldn't enjoy it without these footwarmers. I have two complete sets now and the first is about 18 years old. Still works perfectly and the batteries seem to last as long as ever. HIGHLY recommended if your toes are popsicles like mine.

I received this product in August. however due to time pressures I didn't set the boot warmers up until 5 days before my ski holiday.unfortunately there was a problem with the recharger. however the company were fantastic. they rushed me a new charger in time for my ski holiday. wonderful fabulous service.the foot beds were easy to fit., and very comfortable to use.the wiring is sturdy and able to withstand the rigors of skiing.the battery pack is small enough not to cause a problem.I had lovely warm toasty feet. the heaters were absolutely brilliant. perfect.

Habe diese Schuhheizungen meinem Freund (Jäger) zum Geburtstag geschenkt und der ist schwer begeistert. Das zusammenbauen ist ein klein wenig frimmelig für Grobmotoriker (durfte ich dann machen ;)) aber wenn man das einmal erledigt hat sind die super! Heizleistung ist top und der Akku hält auch so lange wie versprochen. Auch die anfänglichen Bedenken ob die Heizungen zu klein sein könnten (Schuhgröße 49) waren umsonst, passen wie angegossen. Für Frostbeulen nur zu empfehlen.

Alles super! Hatte das Vorgänger Modell über 5 Jahre das war auch super bloß haben jetzt die Akkus schlapp gemacht und es gibt leider keine ersatz Akkus mehr für das alte Modell. Schade
