Fantastic AC Adapter
Pwr+ Asus 180w Ac Adapter Laptop Charger for Asus ROG G-series .Thank You Pwr+I awoke early on Monday morning to find that my computer was dead, kaput, croaked.... My universe was violently disturbed and violated. The first thoughts were not very kind, my already monitored blood pressure rose exponentially. Not a good thing. Recently the hard drive was replaced; the original hard drive had only lasted 2 years. So is this a trend, replace the hard drive on an every six month basis and watch my wallet deplete commensurate to the cost of recovering data and installing a new hard drive? I seriously hope NOT!!!! At least when the hard drive crashed it would turn on. I suspected that the problem this time was the power supply, either the AC Adapter or the actual computer's internal power supply, was not sure, but with the deader than a doornail behavior one of these two appeared to be the most likely culprits.Called the repair shop that replaced the hard drive, no if it was only the power supply, i.e. the "brick", they did not have an AC Adapter to test this machine (they only had meters and that would cost $$$). Sigh, off to Best Buy, Geek Squad, they do have the AC Adapter to test this machine (free no less). At Best Buy, yes, it was only the AC Adapter that had failed, thank you computer gods, nowhere near as expensive as replacing the hard drive again or the internal power supply. No, Best Buy did not have an AC Adapter for sale that would be compatible with this machine, but Batteries Plus does, or so Best Buy advises. But be careful they advise, although a generic AC Adapter may fit this machine, it may not provide sufficient power and could damage the mother board or hard drive. Off to Batteries Plus, yes I called first, "oh yes we have that one" (ASUS model # and AC Adaptor part # were supplied on the phone). Once there and they actually checked their inventory, no they did not have one. At this point I am glad that I have not checked my blood pressure, it would have been sky high.Back home, dead computer in hand with the worthless miserable failed ASUS AC Adapter trailing behind. Fire up the desk top that is rarely used, get on line, do a broad search for the ASUS G75VW AC Adapter for sale. Checked ASUS, you have got to be kidding, they have them, but they are 3 to 4 weeks out on delivery and they wanted $100.00 or thereabouts. Ugly option at best. Not sure if it would result in anything, tried the Amazon link, and yes they have them, considerably less expensive. The question is will it be compatible with this machine, ASUS ROG G75VW-BBK5? Checking out multiple sites and part numbers, reading reviews to see if someone else had the same model ASUS that they had reviewed for this item, I finally determined that this item should, computer gods willing, work. Ordered this Pwr+ Asus 180w Ac Adapter Laptop Charger for Asus ROG G-series that afternoon, requested overnight/next day shipping (even with that added to the price of the item, it was way cheaper than ASUS).Tuesday afternoon, trusty and on time, UPS delivered the Adapter, YES! Cautiously I unwound the cords, plugged the computer connection in and crossing my fingers, plugged the electrical connection into the surge protector, hit the power button on the computer and YES it turned ON!!!! The universe is now repaired, the force restored (i.e. power restored). Now, for an observation that others have made as well. This "brick" is the size of an Easter Island Moai, missing only the face; actually I could use some nail polish and resolve that issue with a little artistic license. Now I have to research the proper rituals to worship the newly installed Moai, what are the proper offerings, and if not appeased, what are the repercussions. Are the repercussions worse than just losing power again to the beloved computer? Will the worship rituals conflict with city codes, are the neighbors going to complain about the noise and late hours if they are required as a function of the rituals? Will there be noxious odors or bright lights? So many questions so little time, Wiki is of no assistance so far, no information on the required Moai worship rituals. Tongue in cheek suggestion, please in the future, provide and enclosure with instructions for this bigger than life "brick" outlining the proper ritual with which to worship it, either from afar or up close and personal, these instructions are considered vital to maintaining the harmony of the universe, or at the very least harmony in this household.I will update this review periodically to confirm that the AC Adapter is still working, any problems or issues that arise, and if I am lucky enough to find them, also post the sanctioned rituals that are required for appeasing the Moai ("brick").So far the AC Adapter is performing perfectly two days into its use; only warm, and as others have pointed out, nowhere near as hot as the OEM "brick". The blue light on the "brick" is an excellent idea, if it were to shuffle off its mortal coil, it would not light up, this would make the problem more readily identifiable. I would not have to drive half way to the moon and back to get it tested, the blue light is a great feature, also doubles as a colorful pukao for the newly erected Moai.

Works better than the factory power supply
I bought this unit after the factory power supply went bad. The laptop was just over a year old (out of warranty) and Asus wanted me to pay $100 for a replacement that would take ages to arrive. If you try to order one they are always on back order (I wonder why?). I checked Amazon and found this. I was skeptical at first but desperate so I went for it. I am so glad I did because this unit runs a little cooler (it's cool to the touch) and hasn't given me any trouble. The laptop runs just as well as it did with the factory one and the cords are a little longer which is very helpful. The unit is a little bulkier than the factory one but given the cost you can't really complain about that. I think that is one reason this unit works better because this one has vents so the heat can dissipate more effectively. I am completely satisfied with the order and so far this has seen daily use for 8+ hours a day for two months and I haven't had any issues. If you need a quick replacement this is the way to go. If you are looking for a spare then the price point makes this an excellent option as well.

Very large but it's solid, works well and is a great value.
Had for a couple of months. This is a relatively very large and heavy charger -- mine measures 8-1/4" x 3" x 2-1/4", not including plugs, but it's a solid and powerful unit that works well. The price is great. Mine stays relatively cool -- just gets only mildly warm. I'm very pleased with this charger. Overall it's a great value. Would highly recommend it, particularly for stationary use in home or office, but for travel, a smaller and lighter unit would be lighter to port and would take less space in your pack or case. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the size of the unit.

Works well with graphics-heavy games, doesn't get as warm as other chargers
I've had this charger for about two months and have no complaints. I'm a relatively heavy gamer (not daily, but most days, for several hours at a stretch and with high graphics settings). The charger works as expected. On the plus side, it doesn't get hot to the touch like the one I had before (though it does get fairly warm), so that's nice.I did experience one oddity after about a month and a half of use; after a couple of hours gaming (with the game I usually play, not a new one), the charger made a few random popping/cracking sounds, as if the plastic were warming up too much. But, it still wasn't actually hot to the touch. It only made the sound four or five times, with a few minutes between each one. After I turned off the game, it stopped, and it hasn't done it again since, even when I've played for a longer stretch of time than I had that day. There is no visible damage to it, so I'm not worried; it did not actually crack or warp that I can see, and still works just fine.

Worked great for 5 months until it started on fire
Ordered this as a replacement for the replacement AC adapter for my MSI GT60 laptop. This product seems well constructed and feels solid. The external temperature on the power brick seems to stay much lower than the previous two AC adapters I've had for this laptop, which gives me great hope for it's reliability in the future.*** Update on 10/16/16 ***Have to change my review 1 star after today. I was using my laptop today with this charger plugged in and connected. I noticed my laptop was no longer charging so I unplugged the charger. I pulled and re-inserted the power cord, and plugged everything back in. My laptop showed it was charging again, but within 10 seconds or so I could smell a strong burning electronic smell. Then I heard a hissing sound and saw actual flames coming out of the power brick where the detachable power cord connects to the power brick. I very quickly unplugged everything and the flames stopped. I consider myself lucky I was sitting next to and watching this charger when it decided to fail disastrously. Things could have been much worse. A shame too, since this ac adapter had been great up to this point. Hopefully my experience with this adapter was a fluke.

Works on ASUS GL503VD
It's been a year now since I purchased this, and so far it has served me well in keeping my laptop alive! A very durable charger and would recommend this product if you need something in a pinch.

Buen producto
Es bueno pero por ejemplo, el original de asus aguantaba si lo tenias en tu cama pero este si se sobrecalienta puede dejar de funcionar
