Wolfgang Puck Food Steamer Bistro 1400-Watt 3-Tier Rapid Food Steamer

I have had this for about a month now and it has changed my eating habits. I now get many more vegetables and many different types of vegetables that I steam and eat in various ways. It is very easy to use and even the very short recipe book has some interesting ideas. I really like the timer. That means that I can set the timer and leave it while I prepare other items or do other things. Also it is one of the easiest items to clean that I have which is another reason why I use it so much.

The concept is very cool, and I like that the bottom is metal, except that the bottom is resting in the plastic side. So when your veggies or whatever are steamed, you can't pour them out. They are sitting on a very hot, loose metal plate thing. So I have to run everything under cold water so I can handle it, or let it sit to cool. Either way, added mess that my last steamer didn't have. I am glad to be using half the plastic though.

This is by far the best thing that we have in our kitchen! We steam everything and save the nutrients. My husband and I adore this. I recommend one for every kitchen! There is also a place to put inrice and sauces. Very very simple cleanup. Much better than my pot and steamer which was so hard to clean the food particles out of the steamer. This is a gem!

Bought this for my 97 year old Grandmother. Camehighly recommended by a friend. Cooks your dinnerin less than 20 minutes. Everyone says the food isvery moist (better than other cooking methods) andso delicious even without any seasoning. This is a greatgift for an elder parent/grandparent or single person. Heyit's for you if you don't feel like cooking in the evening.

I live in a small apartment and as such throw away all packaging, should have kept it! On first use the water bin leaking water from the base of clear window, a steady stream! Rare to experience such a poor level of quality right out of the box!

Works like any other steamer at 3 times the cost. Cheaply made overall, with a wind up dial style timer.... Really?!? For this cost, you should get a digital programmable timer! Don't sell short the value of a digital timer,,, want to cook your favorite veggies exactly as you did the last time they were cooked to perfection ,,,, not with a 60's era wind up timer! It's mostly a guess with 5 minute incremental hash marks.Overall the unit housing feels very Cheaply made with thin plastics. The trays themselves however are well made, with better grade plastics, and stainless steel (I think? Or some sort of metal anyway ) food grids. Easy cleanup a plus .

Nothing like a freshly steamed meal in less than 15 mins.
