As mentioned in the description it doesn't works on battery at all. It gives a pretty good flow of air when used with USB cables but my experience of using it with the mentioned batteries was awful. When I inserted batteries in it, first thing I noticed was, that the flow of air was not that good if compared to USB's plus after 10 minuted I couldn't even feel I was sitting in front of a fan. I just couldn't feel any air on my skin. Overfall for me this was a complete fail. Really wish I had an option of returning it. Really disappointed with this purchase. Review: An excellent mini air cooler at this price !! - I really liked this Air Cooler Fan .. it's damn useful especially in the summer season in Mumbai ... It's a small portable fan which can be used indoor as well as outdoor and is very lightweight thus making it easy to carry it anywhere ... It can be powered by 3 AA batteries and also with a USB cable ... there is a storage box along with the fan in which you can put scent beads which are provided in the package to add a super amazing fragrance to your room ... With the help of the USB cable given you can enjoy strong wind with low power consumption... You can also add ice or ice cold water in the storage box below the fan to get cold and freezing wind .. perfect rescue from the hot wind and humid climate .. a must buy for all definitely... I'm using it since the past ten days and I'm completely satisfied with the product ... Would definitely recommend it to everyone!!!
