Powerful, Portable and Priced Right!
What can I say, I'm a fan! Bright, portable and quick. I use it for thre high speed sync function and it works great. It being portable is a huge advantage. Battery lasts forever and I never need to change for the entire event. Love the modeling lamp and use it for video light too. My only issue is the trigger, can't get it to sync with my neewer speedlight flash so I can use it as filllight. Any suggestions, send them my way. Great buy!

Works with Sony but wow it's bright, beauty dish with a sock during this shoot at 128 power.
I got this because of HSS, which is good when you need it. I planed on shooting during the day but like all things this did not come to be. So I did a night shot with a manual lenes 85mm and 50mm, if you like shooting and don't have your own studio well this is made for you. The only issue I have is this will not work fully with Godox triggers because you can fire but not control the light. You can find only one YouTube that shows how you can but this is not using just Godox triggers. But if you need a strobe that works as it should this is it. The price is right and will work with your light mod's too I was using a beauty dish with a sock during this shoot at 128 power.

Decent low cost portable flashes, but....
The Neewer Vision5 flash is a great flash for a beginner to studio or on-location flash photography. The price point is great, the weight is manageable, and the performance is relatively good.My two gripes about the flashes are:1) Not compatible with other flashes. You are forced to use Vision series flashes, so if you are thinking you can run your Sony Speedlight through it, you are mistaken.2) The recycle times can be a bit long, and even after allowing plenty of time for recycle, the flashes will often not fire on the first snap, or even the second. One recommendation: If you plan on using light stands, upgrade. The flashes are heavier than normal sudio flashes, or at least the cheap beginner ones I had before from Cowboy Studio, and the poles on the stands will bend/flex under the weight, so more durable light stands are a must.

A most powerful strobe for a great price.
I was skeptical when I first ordered these lights back in 2018. I mean at the price point how good could they really be. I ended up buying 7 of them. These lights have ben wonderful and I've used them for literally hundreds of shoots.I think I've drained the batteries once, MAYBE twice and I usually shoot all day. They have weathered a lot and still keep shooting. One dropped in a pool during a shoot in July of 2020. It makes a screeching sound now when I turn it on but it still works.

These things are tanks like their predesesor!
I have several lights-- the new Q3, the Vision4s as well as Flashpoint xplor 600s. And, I love this light the best! first of all they seems to be a little lighter than the xplo 600. They seem to be just as bright and everyting I want to do TTL and HSS can be done, whereas my xplor only allows me to do HSS. If I want TTL I have to buy a more expensive version. I have also dropped these a few times and they still keep going. I own two of them and use these for basically 90% of my shoots.

I don't think I'd do it again.
I bought the Vision 5 because it's supposed to be dedicated to the Sony A7iii but I'm staring at a pile of flashes and cameras that won't work for me. Sitting next to me I have a Vision 4, Vision 5 a Godox TT685 and my Nikon SB5000. It seems darn near impossible to have my Godox act as the master and fire the Neewer Vision 5. I have the vc818tx on top of the A7III and I have it set so it will fire the vision 4 and 5. My preference would be to keep the tt685S on the hot shot at ttl but if not, I would like to put the SB5000 or the TT685 on a bracket and connect it to the Vc818tx to trigger it but the tt685 doesn't have sync port and the sb5000 isnt firing when I try this. I shoot real estate and the goal of the studio light is to raise it high and let it soften out my harsh light shadows. The speedlight is really the work horse here. I shoot an ambient, pop on the flashes and shoot a flash shot and then merge them on Affinity Ipad while on scene. When I made the purchase I though the the vision 5 would pick up a signal from the A7iii but I guess I thought wrong. Had I known this I could have saved the money and done a similar layout with my Vision 4. I have spent hours working on combinations including my 2 and 4 channel Neewer remote flash triggers (which by the way have a different size sync cord). While I've never thought twice about Neewer products I'm a bit soured by this experience. I have called there customer service twice today but no answer and no return call. Unfortunately I tossed the box. It's a bit annoying to have them 1:38 from the house and have no answer. So, I don't think I'd do it again.

Works great on Sony a6000
This works perfectly on Sony a6000. It doesn’t over heat because of the fan inside to keep it cool. Also, it’s very portable to carry around and can be used for both indoor & outdoor photoshoot. On top of that you can shoot over 1/250 :0) I will be buying another soon!.

Attention!!! It does not work with my Sony a7 III
Unfortunately, I had to return the item because after using it twice it does not work properly with my Sony. I want to clarify that ALL THE EQUIPMENT I USE ARE NEW when trying this flash. It happened to me that on occasions the flash did fire and on another it did not.Regardless of the mode (Manual, Multi, TTL or HSS) or firing speed selected, the falsh or the controller (I could not clear my doubts well) did not react. The failure was random. I knew 3 photos in a row and it was perfect, then I took 3 more and failed in two. It even happened to me that in a photograph taken at 1/80 I get half illuminated.Attached sample photos with the fault.I must clarify that the build quality of the flash is very good. The accessories and parts included in the box are very good and of very good quality. If he had not failed, I would keep it and work with him.
