Great all-around and race day tire
These are some of the best tires I've ever owned. I use them primarily on my race bike, a Specialized FSR, and they hook up and hold the ground well. rolling resistance is minima; so you can really get going. Construction and quality is better than similarly priced Continental tires. I would place these more along the lines of Schwalbe tire quality, though they are slightly heavier than Racing Ralphs. They are very sturdy though and the sidewalls hold up well in Texas Hill Country terrain.

This is a great all around tire
It depends on where you ride but I have found this to be my go to tire. It has the profile when I brake hard that this tire really grabs before skidding and I like the side nobs for cornering. The deal on this was great at $30 a tire plus $7.50 shipping. It took a while to get to the USA Washington state from Italy but considering customs and post office this was a great deal fro a great tire.

Tons of Grip
Tire has tons of grip and corners great. Using as a front tire on trail bike in 2.4 size. Came from Specialized Purgatory Grid and like it a lot better for the front. It just grabs the trail and goes. The Purgatory slid a little in hard cornering before grabbing and this one doesn't, it just grabs. It is 1/8 inch wider than other tire which was a 2.3. The EXO casing is sturdy and supportive, comporable to the GRID casing. Running tubless and it set and snapped in really easy. Was a little tough getting onto rim, but that's ok, just means a stronger connection. I will buy this tire again when it comes time to replace.

Great Tire
Love this tire. Decent grip but very good longevity.

Not light, but holds a line.
I've only got ~50 miles on this tire, but I've ridden it in Tahoe and Asheville, NC as well as some NC piedmont trails, so this isn't a long term review. I moved to this tire after using a Specialized Purgatory 2.2 which would constantly loose traction and skid in the corners. The Ardent holds a line much better and gives me more confidence to push into the corners. It is a heavier tire, but its 2.4, so what did you expect? It was easy to set up tubeless. No flats so far, though I did pull one pretty good thorn out of it. Rolls nicely through rock gardens and didn't seem to mind loose dirt and pebbles in Tahoe. I don't think I'd call it a fast rolling tire though.

Rails corners, stops on a dime. Great front tire.
Excellent grip at low pressure tubeless. Fantastic cornering and braking performance. Performs significantly better in corners than the 2.25 versions and the larger volume really helps with smooth roll over roots and rocks. I feel rolling resistance is quite good. Use it in the front, mostly xc rolling trails. Too much for rear - I use ardent race out back.

Best compromise I've found with regards to weight, speed, durability, versatility, value and handling.
So far this is the best compromise I've found with regards to weight, speed, durability, versatility, value and handling. I'm on my second set and I've run them on a variety of surfaces and under a myriad of conditions. They set up for tubeless easily and seem to work equally well on UST or Stan's-spec rims. I'm never rolled a tire and have never experienced a side puncture in the sometimes thorny and craggy Central Texas conditions. I run them on both wheels. Like any tire they lose their grip and flex with age and have to be replaced. My first set gave me almost 4 years of wear and lasted well over a thousand miles.

Great Tire with sidewall protection.
The Ardent is a great tire. The EXO version provides good sidewall protection. I have tried both the EXO and non EXO version and found them to both be supple and have a good response. The EXO version is slightly heavier but not noticeable. It's a great piece of mind to have the protection.
