Perfect replacement for my Cuisinart DLC

I ordered this as a replacement for my Cuisinart DLC-7. It was not until a couple months later that I realized there was a problem. The shaft of the Cuisinart does not fit tightly to this cutting blade and it locks onto the shaft. I called Cuisinart and they said that they no longer support the DLC-7s with parts. Amazon, you should take this off your description that says it will fit a DLC_7 because it doesn't. It will cause a problem and ruin the machine. Unfortunately I did not discover the problem until my window to return the product had expired.

We have a very old 14 cup #Cuisinart dfp-14bc. Just BC. It fits. I didn't realize how dull the old blade was until the new one arrived. Very nice.

Bought a 'used' blade for a small discount... probably a return from someone who had a different model of processor this blade wouldn't fit. Mine looks brand new, and testing it in my machine, it worked fine.

however, it's more expensive than the 25$ with free shipping from the company website. which says out of stock. it does get dirty and stained in a few weeks though, so they at Cuisinart product design for the food processor, need to improve the design and also place a piece of plastic over the chute that feeds veggies, to absorb noise. this would make it all the quieter. Why have a quiet induction motor and not spend 2 dollars extra to create a plastic cover, removable, on the food chute, to block the noise? I never use that chute while it's running, I put everything in and then do it and would love to not have to put my own plastic piece on top, and use a specially made by Cuisinart plastic. It would be so easy and add so much value to this, protecting our ears, etc. Also, I want to state that the processor bowl needs a design upgrade to make it far easier to clean. Right now it's pretty hard to clean the inside without bleach, if not impossible. Thanks and happy product design. The material needs some improvement since it gets stained really fast at the base where metal contact exists. :)

Excellent replacement part

My machine was spinning the blade and it was skipping. I soon realized there was a fine crack in the shaft of the blade (I had to look with a magnifying glass it was barely visible). I purchased the new blade and it works perfectly, saved me the purchase of a new machine since my model’s replacement parts are discontinued by Cusinart. A+++

This blade is exactly like the original one was. The old one served us very well for well over 30 years, but eventually the plastic shaft cracked and would no longer work. What amazed us was how, over the years of use, we hadn't noticed the blades becoming increasingly dull. The new blade is very sharp compared with the old one. We hope this one will last as long! :)
