Casper Essential Mattress, UK Double (135 x 190)

Just got it delivered. This is not the 100% very good Casper mattress that this is replacing. The clue is in the "Essential" part of the description. It is a cheaper form of the mattress and is much lighter as it appears to come with less foam. It comes in a sky blue box with dark blue print instead of a white box with blue print.People who are on the lighter side of the weight spectrum might not notice the difference but the heavier you are the more you will wish you had invested in the better Casper.

The mattress arrived unboxed vacuum packed in heavy duty plastic. When opened the the mattress inflated slightly so after reading earlier views we left it on the landing for the night to expand. After a day the mattress still had a big crease mark where folded and two corners were still crushed and had not expanded, the main mattress had only expanded to around 8cm advertised to be 18cm thick so we decided to leave it until the weekend. (3days) After 5 days the mattress had still only expanded to a maximum of 10cm well below the advertised thickness with one corner still badly crushed and the crease line still visible down the middle of the mattress so decided to return to amazon. To my surprise they would not arrange for re collection so I rolled it up the best i could back in its original plastic and sent back to Amazon at a cost of £95 which they assure me they will refund.

Saw this mattress on the Which? website and decided to go for it. It arrived vacuum packed so that it arrived with free delivery. I had been using my previous mattress/box spring setup for 15 years and it took a week and a half to get used to this one on a new steel bed frame. Now I can't wait to go to bed....and I feel I actually need less sleep using it. It's that good. No smells after removing the packaging, although I used it immediately after unpacking, I found it comfortable from the start, although It takes a few days to fully expand.

Very comfortable with nice mattress cover. No slipping. Real value for money.

The best mattress I've ever had. I had back and hip pain, and from the first day, the pain had disappeared. No other mattress matches this. Its incredible how they have mastered that perfection of comfort. I recommend anyone to go for Casper. They have unfortunately stopped uk operations, so what you see is what is left. Dont think, just buy.The only issue is that the mattress is not thick. its 18cm, and I wish they made 22 or above. 25cm is Ideal.Casper, if you are listening, please bring back sales to the uk.

I first bought the "Amazon Recommended" one, a hybrid version. It was horrible. After a lot of going back and forward with the seller, they agreed to refund me.I payed a bit more and got this one. It's great. Its much firmer than I imagined, as I've slept on other foam mattresses that are too soft. It's not too firm to not be able to sleep on it.I cannot overemphasize how important it is to have a good matress. Neck pain is not smth you want to distract you every day.I will never buy a non-branded / Amazon crap vendor mattress again.

I have been told that you sometimes need to give a mattress time to get used to it but I can't do it anymore. It looks lovely and seems quality, definitely my most expensive but my back has been sore since I got it and I've never had back problems in my life before. Thankfully I held onto my old mattress and have put it back on my bed and put my new one in spare room. Hopefully anyone staying over won't feel too much pain.

Took a stab at the mattress based on the best buy reviews in Which. The firmness seems to suit Me really nicely. Gave a low star rating for sleep quality as that's not been great in a while. But the sex is magnificent. Would recommend.
