great & best deal I found - good capacity, sturdy, not unattractive
I needed file storage, but wooden file cabinets are so expensive and metal ones are so noisy! I looked at several other options for file boxes and file carts. Most file boxes were not very deep, meaning they could only hold a few files. Sure, I could get a bunch and store them sideways, but who wants that? And I didn't want to take up more floor space with floor carts. So these were the best deal I found [the second-best, which I didn't try, were some clear plastic file bins which were a little less deep. I thought these looked nicer and would hold more, so I went for it, but if I were going to store files somewhere up out of reach where I'd have to move the box all the time in order to get to the files, I probably would have gone for the plastic tote things.]So I ordered one of these to test it out - at 8 bucks, what's the risk? - and liked it so much that I ordered 3 more. They hold quite a bit of files, are quite sturdy on their own, and they don't look bad. I have several them sitting on top of some cube cabinets, and it works for me. (For reference, if you wanted to store them IN cubes, they fit sideways in the 11" cubes, or they normal-ways in the 13" cubes.)

Nice and sturdy
I previously purchased through Amazon a similar product by Staples. When it arrived the box and the product were damaged. It shipped from Staples and was not packed as carefully as products from Amazon. It was returned immediately. I ordered this one and am happy to say it arrived in perfect condition (Amazon packaging) and is much sturdier than the damaged one. I didn't think I would like the down turned shelves, but I do! The shelves slant backwards enough to keep things from sliding off. It looks great in my home office space, and functions beautifully. An added bonus is that this one by Rolodex was much less expensive!

Alternative Use
Like a few other reviewers, I use this to organize electronics on the tv armoire: cable box, game box and controllers, antenna booster. It is sturdy, great for air circulation, and can be used with the shelf "lips" down or up. Cords can be worked through the ample back openings and hang down the back, out of sight. The only part I'm not fond of is the small black plate on each "lip" (useful to ID papers and such, but not necessary for electronics), but I knew this before purchasing and it's not a big deal. The organizer can also be attached to the wall (screws/mollies not included), but I'd lessen the weight placed on it if hanging it.

Sturdy Upright Storage Solution for my Desktop Stuff
I got tired of the plastic trays our company supplies to store our paper on so I went searching for an alternative and found this 3 tier shelf. It is absolutely perfect. I have a ream of paper stored on the bottom shelf and 2 shelves left for incoming and outgoing orders. It's sturdy, stable and will either sit on the corner of the desk (as I use mine) or it also can be hung on the wall with a couple screws or nails. It's a very nice addition to my desktop and my co-workers ask where I found it and of course, I tell them. I have used this shelf for over a year and it gets daily usage, and still looks brand new!

It really grew on me... I love the added organization, and I love that it's not taking up desk space!
I just received this today, and - I know, I gave it five stars - was immediately disappointed by the fact that the top shelf looked bent upward on the right side. Additionally, I saw that the support beam running across the back of the top portion (it's the horizontal bar just slightly above the nail hole brackets) was not perfectly straight. I figured, for $13, this thing should look better than that, right? Well, after begrudgingly hanging it above my file box, I fell in love (if one *can* fall in love with a paper organizer) with the added functionality to my desk space! Previously, I was having problems with separating my paperwork from different classes, as I don't have any built-in storage on my desk (plus, I've got a heck of a small room, with no place to store binders neatly). I chose this product over similar ones with more tiers specifically because it uses up my abundance of wall space instead of my limited surfaces, and - I can now say - it was the right choice. I excitedly sorted six weeks worth of paper this evening, and it looks amazing! In all honestly, I can't even see the imperfections anymore, so they're now irrelevant, for my purposes.

Great for 13" Cube Organizers
Worked great for my needs. I bought two of these and placed them in the 13" Storage Cube bins (the sturdier kind, not too floppy). The bins are actually like 13"x15" so these have to fit sideways in there in order for the folders to slide smoothly. Not a big deal. Now I have a stylish filing system, the ability to bring a "basket" of files anywhere in the house if I want to, and a shelf for our printer :)Great price. I shopped at Wally-world and office supply store and both only sell it online and it's the same price as here. I have Prime so...Now I just need a couple more bins to make my shelf nice and neat.

Ok for certain uses, but far from perfect
Not bad with some caveats. While it is attractive and easy to assemble, the assembly is pretty loose. The top and bottom have little “pegs” that slide into narrow “tubes” on the front and back. Nothing snaps or screws together, so the only thing holding it in place is gravity and the weight of your files. That’s probably fine if this is going to sit on your desk in one place. If you ever need to move it, though, be sure to support it from the bottom or it will fall apart. It’s also just a hair too narrow, making it hard to fit you hanging file folders in.

GREAT if you need files on your desk! EASY to file stuff away and get to.
I did a lot of searching for what I needed and happy I got this one.PLUSES:EASY to put together - I am not handy and if I could put this together in under a minute, anyone canSTURDY - I have it sitting on a table and it's sturdy. I can flip through my files easily and without it falling over.PRICE - Compared to others I liked less, GREAT PRICESIZE - Holds quite a few hanging files and yet can put on top of a small table for easy accessCON:JUST ONE really. If you pick it up from the top, it can come apart as it just fits together. Which is fine if you want to pack it to move, but if you don't, add some glue or move it carefully.

Perfect for intendent use
I purchased this to do a IKEA hack. I turned part of my besta entertainment unit into filing cabinets. These inserts worked great.and no screws required. Which means I didn’t have to put holes in the drawers. I wouldn’t use this independently of a drawer or box of some sort. It clicks together and if there is heavy files in it when you lift it it could come apart. However it is sturdy. My files are quite heavy.

Muy práctico.
Llego a tiempo y bien empacado. Es fácil de armar y ahorra espacio. Lo uso con folders colgantes de marca Amazon Basics tamaño carta, y le quedan perfectamente. Espero me dure mucho tiempo.

Great shelf for storing desk back-up drives and in-box
I use this wire shelving unit to store my two back-up hard-drives (bottom-shelf) and then papers to be filed and other bits and pieces on the other shelves. The bottom shelf is sturdy and the safest place to put heavier electronics. Paperwork, keys, phones, etc. can be placed on the other shelves.
