Scholastic Success With Grammar, Grade 1 Illustrated Edition

It is very good! My daughter is learning how to make sentences and read ..the way the book is structured is very good..it teaches kids comprehension in different ways .for example - we go to school, that sentences was separated into 4 different puzzles in different order as school , we, to and go.. My daughter had to think what was the sentence and which word would be the first and what would go after that. It took her a bit but she did end up connecting the dots and making a sentence..it teaches kids to recognize the words and think what the sentence would look like.

I bought several of these books due to the pandemic. I had a feeling much of what my children needed to learn was either forgotten or not learned. What can we expect from crisis learning followed by a 'summer slide?' I bought the pandemic grade and the subsequent grade. My children get 1 page/day from this and several other books from this group. I highly recommend them. It definitely brushed their skills back up without excessive neediness from me to assist (but I still have to check the work).

My daughter is able to work independently using that grammar book. Book reinforces grammar skills already thought and make new ones easy to learn.

We homeschool and finished the Complete Book of Reading Grades 1-2 this school year. I ordered this book (as well as the one from Grade 2) to use as summer review before going to the Complete Book of Reading Grade 3-4 in the fall. I love how Scholastic always teaches the essential skills! And I wanted to make sure my daughter had really learned all she needed in Grammar before we go to the next workbook in the Complete Book of Reading series.This book is very succinct with black and white pages that can be photocopied easily. So if you are a teacher, it would work great for that.I was surprised to see that we covered all these skills plus more in the Complete Book of Reading Grades 1-2. So if you are a homeschooler, I highly recommend that book and skipping this one (for grades 1 and 2). Plus, the Complete Book of Reading is in full color, more variety in activities (cut and paste, circle the word, write it in the blank, etc.) so it seems a bit more fun. It also has Phonics activities and Reading comprehension in addition to Grammar.But for summer review, this is good :)

This book has a great lay out with both practice work and assessment work. The sentences used are simple so the students don't get tripped up by larger words. They can instead focus on the actual content of the lessons. The only thing that I don't personally care for is instead of using the terms noun, verb, adjective, etc. the book uses terms such as "naming words" action words" and "describing words". Which isn't a huge deal, I just introduce the proper term when I introduce the new concept.

My five year old does really well these and they're right on his level.

I love this book. I use it for my 6 year old. We are homeschooling this year. And it goes at a very nice speed for her. Also, helps with her reading. The sentences are simple and she catches on quick.

ピリオドや大文字など初歩的なものを３ページずつ教えてくれます。合計２０回で終了するので、気軽に進められています。ただ、英会話を習ったことがない方は耳が慣れていないため先ずは、フォニックスや絵本で耳慣れをした方が良いかと思います。Grammar 1が終了しGrammar 2に移った際は、難しくないかな？と少し心配していましたが、Grammar 1で学んだことの応用だったので今のところ無理なく進められています。ただ、Grammar 3は購入したものの、内容は１・２の応用ですが単語のレベルが上がるため、Grammar 3に移る前にいくつか別の英語教材を挟もうと思っています。
