Very nice whiteboard!
I read most of the reviews here, and was somewhat tentative about ordering this product because of the shipping issues that were so common, as well as some of the complaints about erasing. My board arrived (having been shipped across the US) without damage. Thank you FedEx. I will say that shipping box that the board itself was in was thinner than I expected--only about 1.5" with just a layer of cardboard protection on either side of the board. That's pretty thin for a box that is 6'x4' wide. I kind of expected a box with 3-4 inches of Styrofoam protection. I can see how occasionally boards may get damaged. Mine didn't.As for the other complaints about difficulty of construction? No problem here. The whole thing seemed pretty logical to me. Holes lined up and construction was simple. And the whiteboard surface? Fabulous. I believe someone claimed that the board would not erase. Either that person used permanent markers or s/he failed to remove the protective film covering the entire surface (you're kidding, right?). The board works very nicely. In fact, I had considered buying a $900 board that had a porcelain finish just because I knew that porcelain would erase well. However, this surface is every bit that nice. It both writes and erases very smoothly.Construction is solid with good heavy bolts holding the legs and arms together. Rock solid.Even though this is one of the lower-priced boards of this size/type on Amazon, it is, without a doubt, a great product. It is solid. It looks great. It writes and erases well. I am very pleased and I will likely buy again.EDIT: Ok, so there is one seemingly significant flaw. The casters on this board are really pretty poor. They are 1 1/2" plastic casters. On my hardwood, the casters would not even turn the right direction to roll smoothly. Why put cheap 1 1/2" casters on a board designed to roll around? That would not do for me. I made a trip to Home Depot and purchased 4 3" high-quality rubber caster wheels. The threading on the original casters was metric, and the stems for the new casters were too large anyway, so I pulled off the endcaps, drilled out the old threading, and bolted the new casters in place. It took me about an hour. Now the board is perfect (and $28 more expensive).

Nice board, but with shallow vertical depression lines (dimples). Inadequate quality control.
I've been using it for a couple months now. It is a very nice board. Very easy to assemble (I bought the 72x40 size, and for that size you'll probably need a helper). The smooth high-quality coating is cleanly erasable. I see no ghosting and no marker stains. However -- just as other reviewers have noticed -- there are 2 or 3 shallow straight vertical dimple lines in multiple spots (from top to bottom edges). It shows inadequate quality control, or poorly designed manufacturing process (I used to work as a manufacturing engineer, btw). So it's somewhat disappointing that the US distributor accepts low quality products for resale.Yes, the board is not perfect. And I will live with those dimple lines. Returns are too much of a hassle. Seems the seller knows the buyers will rather accept those small defect. That's a disappointing gamble with customer satisfaction rating.

I was a bit concerned about ordering this portable whiteboard due to so many reviews that talked about defects, missing parts, etc. I was especially worried about getting a board that had ripples or defects in the surface. Well, my whiteboard arrived today and after the assembly, I'm HAPPY to say, "It's in perfect condition!" Mine is the 72" by 40" LUXOR Reversible Magnetic Whiteboard.Arrived earlier than what we thought, , , a GOOD THING. Trucking company called ahead of time and scheduled delivery. The driver was very friendly and helpful in getting the large package to my front door.Assembly was straightforward with directions easy to follow although I did do a "double-take" on a couple of steps. Took me about 45 minutes to assemble and I took my time. No missing parts and everything was packaged nice and neat. Always good to have instructions with a parts list like this one had.Flipping the whiteboard to the other side is smooth as silk - works great and very solid. The magnetic hold is stronger than I thought it would be; will probably use this feature more than anticipated. The only glitch my board has is that several of the holes do not line up when putting the eraser and marker tray onto the frame. I had seen this mentioned in earlier reviews. Wasn't a problem for me because 3 of the 7 holes did line up and these hold the tray firmly in place. I may come back and drill a few extra holes where they need to be just to insure the tray remains firmly in place. Not a big deal at all.Once assembled the board was exactly what we wanted and rolled into my home office easily. Did a bit of a marker test and the board is super smooth, possibly as smooth as any whiteboard I've used before (maybe because it is brand new). Erasing several hours later seems like the markers were just put on the board minutes before. Some of the reviews I had read actually helped me in assembly, , , like the fact that only two of the rollers lock. I made sure to put one on each end and both on the same side (the front) so they are easy for me to get to. Another comment was that the whiteboard's plastic protective covering was hard to remove leaving fragments around the edges. We took our time and removed it cleanly without any hassle at all.I purchased this board to address several objectives:1) Online training with whiteboard illustrations2) Create a solid white background for certain video or online meetings (my bookshelves behind me can be rather busy)3) Ability to set up green screen background easily for special photos & videosThis was a great purchase and I plan to use this excellent whiteboard a lot in the months to come.
