Pennington 100536600 UltraGreen Weed & Feed Lawn Fertilizer, 12.5 LBS, Covers 5000 Sq Ft

I used this fertilizer at the beginning of June. I did not see the results I was expecting right away. My lawn was splotchy (sorry no pics) and weeds were definitely present. About three weeks after applying, we got a good soaking rainfall. That did the trick. Two to three days later the color in my lawn went from light green to dark green. Each passing day the splotchy areas were filled in and most of the weeds were gone. Unfortunately it did not kill all of the weeds, nor did it kill the crabgrass. Overall, I was very pleased with the results. It's been about a month and a half since I applied this fertilizer, but my lawn is thick, green and lush. I think the key here is a deep watering after its been applied. It worked for me.

Applied this a week behind the new seeds and looks like the lawn is greener and void of weeds.Just keep in mind that the bags are small and spread quickly, so buy enough.

Applied this fertilizer in spring. It didn't keep all the weeds down. I still got crabgrass, creeping Charlie and few dandelions. It is easy to see where the fertilizer was applied (the grass was much greener!) so I knew precisely where the fertilizer was supposed to kill the weeds!

Was bought to control crabgrass in my St Augustine grass in the front yard. Has not! Crabgrass seems to have liked the product so much it’s growing and spreading.
