Teton Pants Review
Good quality pants and worth the money. Pants are light weight and first appear low quality. I've used these pants on weekend backpacking trips and they have never let me down. They hold up much better than expected. The light weight material is durable and dries quickly. As for size: I am a 34 waist and ordered the medium and large. The medium fits me OK and is comfortable but is just a bit too tight. I backpacked 15 miles with no complaint. The large is a better match for my 34 waist. My suggestion is that if you are a 32 waist or smaller, go with the medium. If you are a 33 - 34 go with the large. If you are 35 or larger waist, forget the medium and go with the large for sure. My favorite fitting for my 34 waist is the large. The medium is a tinny bit too snug.Forget the cheezy belt that comes with the pants. It works, but is just too flimsy and the fastner is difficult. Take the belt off and use your favorite belt instead. The pants are a bit to large at the bottom of the leg for me. It is not a problem, just a bit too big. The plus to this is that you can take the lower leg section off without removing your boots. So I guess I would complain if the legs were any smaller. Overall, I would purchase these pants again without a second thought. In fact, I just ordered another pair.

Great, durable pants, great value
I purchased these pants 2 years ago for a sailing trip, but also with an eye towards summer backpacking. They're awesome! Super lightweight, moisture-wicking, quick-drying material, & flexibility since they convert to shorts. I've now used these pants on many summer trips, and even once in the snow (with sweats underneath). Great for keeping mosquitos off your legs during warm weather, since they are so lightweight. Love these pants. You can get these at this reasonable price, or spend $100 on pants from a high-end outdoor manufacturer that do exactly the same thing.

Tried to Like Them, But it wasn't meant to be.
I tried to like these pants, I really did, but they don't work as you might think. First off, the cargo pockets are in the front and not the sides, so when you are walking with your items, they will be constantly hitting your knees over and over again. Very painfull if you have a spare usb battery (like me). There is also a problem with a spare coin pouch in one of the pockets (right side on in my case). It's completely missing. Most people will be wearing these pants for everyday use and without some kind of coin pouch, their is just chaos down there. I should have returned the pants once I got them, but had a big trip coming up and had to just take them as they were as I was out of time. Don't waste your money, go somewhere else.

Perfect for camping and hiking adventures
FITI take a 38x32 pant and ordered the XL with 32" inseam. These fit just about perfect as far as waist and length go. As shorts they fit exactly how I like, but as pants, the legs are a little wider than I'd prefer for casual wear. They are comfortable though.MATERIALThe material is fantastic. It's light weight, breathable, fast drying, and feels good against my skin. I've had no issues with holes, tears, or loose threads so far.The included nylon-weave belt is the weakest point of these pants. It gets the job done, but the whole thing just feels a little flimsy. Not a huge deal though, as the pants fit the other belts I've tried with them just fine.CONVERSIONConverting these from pants to shorts and back again is an easy process. Each lower leg has a sewn on tag to indicate which leg it is for, and there's a zipper and velcro tab at the bottom of each leg that make it easy to get on or off without removing my shoes or boots. Making the conversion while wearing them is simple, but it does take a couple of minutes.LAUNDRYThese clean up well. I had worries about the light color getting stained with dirt, but the material has been very stain resistant so far. They don't seem to hold onto odors or smell and come out of the laundry smelling fresh. The material also seems to resist wrinkles pretty well.CONCLUSIONI LOVE these! Maybe not for everyday wear (although I do occasionally wear the shorts around town), but for camping and hiking (the driver for my purchase) these are perfect. I can throw these pants on as I head out for a morning hike and can later zip the lower legs off as the day warms up. Should I find myself trekking through some brush, it's easy to zip the legs right back on. The light, breathable, fast drying material is perfect for any adventure the trail offers up. I'm no longer stuck making a choice between protection and temperature comfort.

No need to spend 4x as much
Good pants, especially for the price. The size is pretty right on; if anything, they are a little on the small size. Depending on the pant I am usually a 34 or 36, and the large size fits me really well. Because of the elastic waist, they will fit a smaller waist than the size chart says. If you are between sizes, go with the larger. The material is your typical quick dry fabric, but it does feel a little lighter than some other quick dry pants I've had. This might make them a little more vulnerable to rips if you get them snagged on something, but I have had no problems. Like many of these kinds of pants, they come with a cheep little belt, which I usually end up re-purposing. The only reason I did not give these 5 stars is that I have noticed some missed stitches, which speaks to quality, but nothing that compromises the integrity of the pant.
