Mishimoto MMRAD-AE86-83 Performance Aluminum Radiator Compatible With Toyota Corolla 1983-1987

My original 4A-C radiator started leaking, with a standard replacement from NAPA being $160, and the fact that I plan on building out the 4A-GE that was swapped in, I decided to just buy this.The radiator is not quite stock fit. The standard mounting points look like they should work, however it conflicts with the body of the car. The panels next to the radiator bend back slightly to sit flush against the edge of the stock radiator, forming a seal. As this radiator is much thicker, it does not fit against these panels. When I attempted to install it, the radiator had to be slanted back considerably, with the top being a good inch and a half from the mounts.I plan on bending these panels forward a touch to allow the radiator to sit properly in the car.Other than this issue, the radiator looks to fit stock, with a decent bit of space between the radiator and the clutch fan, however I am missing my compete fan shroud, which could very well conflict with the clutch fan when installed on this radiator.

Great quality radiator,but the quality of the overflow fitting was terrible. The fitting was leaking every where from damaged threads of overflow fitting. Luckily I had one off of the old generic aluminum rad and fixed the issue. Felt like everything was quality except that and stained my new polished radiator,intercooler,turbo, and a lot of my 2jz engine bay. Also does not have a magnetic drain plug like I thought it would.

I want to like this radiator, I really do. The build quality looks fantastic and it looks like it would cool nicely. The problem is that it doesn't come close to the stock fitment that Mishimoto claims. It's too wide and too thick to fit in the stock position. There's no way I'm going to start "modifying" my car to fit a "stock fit" radiator that should've been tested just a little bit more before being sold at a premium price. That is just unacceptable.And in case I get the expected "you ordered the wrong one" comments, I bought this for a 1985 Toyota Corolla GT-S manual transmission vehicle.

Actually is a true mishimoto no fakes here. Filled out the warranty card in the box and now have a freelifetime warranty on the product. Noticed the car staying slightly cooler and it warms up faster too. Very thick radiator you can't run it with a clutch fan. 5 out of 5.

Excellent price, radiator as pictured. Installed on a TE-72 wagon w/ 4AG swap. Made a lower bracket from Al w/ grommets for lower posts, two Al clips w rubber for sides....clears hood.

Excellent quality radiator for your ae86; is a very thick radiator, it has about 2 inches at the center core. It came very well packed.
