Solar Group RF000R06 Aluminum Flag Replacement Kit, Style May Vary

The hinge assembly fit my Solar Group mailbox perfectly. However the flag is longer than the original and partially covered up the address. I used the old flag as a template, snipped off a section and drilled new mounting hole.

This is a great little flag if you are looking to replace your mailbox flag.My flag was an older plastic flag on a Charleston mailbox which was falling apart and the pin had fallend apart a long time ago.This was easy to install although I think I screwed it up and put the washer on the wrong side but it still works. If you try to remove the pin holding this in place you will end up breaking this as it is like a zip tie which holds this on the inside of the mailbox.I like that this is metal as well which is an upgrade from my old plastic one and it feels very sturdy and I think my mailman appreciates this now as he doesn't have to fiddle with my old dilapidated flag.

This flag went on quickly, less than 5 minutes. Hole lined up and the screw fit well. I like that it's a little bit taller than the original one. Had bought a different one that looks like this but returned it as the hole didn't line up and the screw was so very tiny.

Sturdy and metal not plastic however the pin is plastic and is har to put in. Recommend getting a large cotter pin as the plastic one could break.

This flag is the same style we had on our existing mailbox. Nice to be able just to replace the broken flag instead of tossing the entire mailbox. Great to save some money *and* keep something out of the landfill that still has useful life in it.

My old flag got bent by someone, so needed replacing.I got this one and it's perfect. I replaced the old one in less than 5 minutes. It attaches by pushing the flag's pivot post thought the pre-existing hole in your mailbox, then pushing that little black pin though it to hold it in place. A second, smaller post fits into the smaller pre-existing hole to keep the flag assembly from twisting around. If your mailbox doesn't have these holes, this wouldn't be the right flag, but assuming it does, this is great.No tools were needed. Super easy.
