So far so good
I see mixed reviews on these, but lately Amazon has mixed up reviews under some products that are clearly for a different product. The photo is definitely the camera I got.Got a pair of these in Dec 2019. One has been installed outdoors and connected to my Lorex 4K DVR using the Lorex supplied cable for my circa 2014 1080p Lorex DVR package. It has worked perfectly for over a year -- our full 4-season temperature range from 100+ to 20F. Some reviews say it only works with Amcrest DVR, definitely not true for this product in my experience. The second is hooked to an Amcrest 8-Channel DVR that I use as a test setup for my AI development with a variety of cameras ranging from 4K (this one) to Lorex 1080p and no-name 1080p, 720p, 960H and D1 (704x480). While it is not used 24/7 it has given me no issues either. So in summary this has been every bit as good as my Lorex 4K cameras on my Lorex 4K DVR for over a year now.I'm not rating "motion detection" because traditional "frame difference" motion detection is basically useless for cameras used outdoors. I'm also not rating IR night use because IR image quality is always inferior to daylight quality, things just look weird under IR light. But my AI "people detection" with this (and the Lorex 4K) camera regularly detects people walking across the street in both daylight and IR light. Also not rating Tech support as I've not used it.

Nice upgrade, very sharp picture
I have 3 4k cameras (2 installed, one going in) and they are very sharp. Amcrest cameras have been hit and miss for me, but the 4k seems to be a hit. I will probably need to upgrade my HDD now since with two 4k cameras, three (very poor) 2k's, and a couple (good) 1080p cameras, and a couple more legacy (non HD) cameras, my 2TB drive stores about 8 days of video, adding more 4k cameras will surely not help with that. I am not sure on the longevity of these cameras, as they have only been installed for about a month.

Amcrest 4k Security cameras
The first one didn't work and got hot on arrival, customer support replaced it right away and got the replacement the very next day. The replacement worked, but the specifications say 15 fps... I'm only getting 7fps. Other than that... It's doing a great job and the videos are very crisp & clear. Let's see how long this camera last.

God awful cameras - buy the cheaper Zosi or QSEE cameras.
Garbage product. Will never purchase from this company again. I have the amcrest DVR, so I figured using their brand cameras shouldn’t be a problem right? WRONG. When you connect the cameras, they don’t always register properly and require you to reboot the system. Then once mounted, they’ve gone in and out intermittently, requiring multiple trips up the ladder. I was using standard BNC cables, so I spent the extra money on the Amcrest branded cables that specifically mention 4K functionality - nope. Still don’t work properly. When they do actually show an image, the image distorts or shows waves/bands slowly going down the screen (ever tried to record a screen with your phones camera and the camera can’t capture the refresh rate? Looks like that.) I tried resetting the unit, changing the settings, etc, nothing worked. Know what did finally work? Ordering the Zosi 1080p camera for $25. It fired up immediately when I plugged it in. No reboot. No distorted picture. No intermittent disconnects. Also fun fact, some old cameras from my old QSEE system (probably 5 years old now) also work phenomenally with the Amcrest DVR.

Great picture!
Great camera. Only thing I wish were different would be open capable with Samsung’s Wise View app.
