This toy is amazingly fluffy. Like, so fluffy you could die. UNFATHOMABLY FLUFFY, IS ALL I'M SAYING. But everything changed when the fire nation attacked.He does not respond to basic commands and has shown no propensity to flight, not even when told "yip yip". He isn't eating his food and can't swim. Due to his inability to perform such basic flying air bison functions, I dunno if it's worth spending more than $20 on.UNLESS YOU REALLY LIKE AVATAR. OMG AVATAR.

I really love this Appa!! He's so cute and his fur is the softest you have ever felt!! It's very thick soft plush fur. I am a fan of both Avatar and Korra and so I was so happy to get this sky bison! He looks exactly like in the animated series. He is perfect to carry around and cuddle with!

I generally do not leave reviews for products that I have bought but for this one I will make a well deserved exception. Firstly, the appa plush itself is wonderful, it is big, super soft and has, unlike the cheaper Chinese rip offs, cute glass eyes. Secondly and more importantly, I would like to say that the customer service of nickelodeonuniverse has been great. I am a buyer from the Netherlands and I had to pay quite the amount of shipping costs (close to twice the price if the plush itself) , which was initially a reason not to buy it. When I asked nickelodeonuniverse why the shipping costs were so high, they responded quickly and adequately. In the end I decided to do it anyway because it was an anniversary present for my girlfriend (it's a long story but I give her a different stuffed animal every year, it is sort of a silly tradition of ours haha). And not only did the plush arrive much quicker than was indicated, but it also contained a card with a handwritten message apologizing for the shipping costs and hoping that the Momo that was included for free would compensate for it. Yes, you read that correctly, nickelodeonuniverse gave us a free Momo! It really shows the attention and consideration that you would like to receive as a customer. So I would like to thank nickelodeonuniverse (and specifically employee Rachel haha) for the great service, both Appa and Momo will make a great addition to our collection :)

This plushie is so unbelievably perfect. If you're a true fan of the ATLA series, you need an Appa plushie. Personally, I bought one because I cosplayed as Appa and thought treating myself to this plushie would be the perfect way to commemorate it (plus I just really wanted one, okay!)!The Appa plushie is very well-made with fantastically soft fabric. This particular model is sold by Nickelodeon (it comes packaged in a Nickelodeon store bag), so the plushie is true to the character and is of a very high quality! I bought the 18" version of the toy (although it also comes in a much larger size), and it is THE PERFECT SIZE FOR CUDDLING. You can hold your very own Appa like a little baby or you can stick Appa on your head and go on an adventure!!When I bought this plushie, I also bought the Momo one for a friend from the same company (which is about 9" tall, with bendable arms and legs, and is equally as fantastic), which cut the combined shipping in half! So, if you plan on ordering both, order them at the same time and only pay for shipping once!Overall, this is probably one of my favorite things I've ever bought (I love it so much that I brought it to college with me) and I cannot recommend it enough times. However, be careful because this particular plushie occasionally becomes limited edition and hence, very expensive. I got it for around $20 in the summer of 2014.

Bought this for my ex's birthday; she loves Avatar.Definitely cute, definitely fluffy and soft. Probably overpriced with that absurd $10 shipping fee, but a great way to own your own Appa!But it's eyes are just as empty as my love life.

I love Appa! He's perfectly soft and perfectly manufactured. All the details are perfect. He is definitely my greatest "Do I really need this tho?" purchases. He comes to college with me. Perfect density for hugging. I think it has been two years at LEAST, and he hasn't lost shape, not even in his horns which I often get squished in the blankets or against the wall by my bed. Probably the best part is his little feet because they have a sturdiness to them, so they're kinda perfect for rubbing, like cat paws but less annoyed.Overall, very, very well made and extremely soft, sweet and durable. Somehow they even got his docile gaze captured in the eyes. I named mine Appamesia Gentileschi, after the 16-17th century Italian Baroque painter, Artemisia Gentileschi.

As a new fan of this show, I just had to have an Appa. He is just perfect. Super fluffy and squishy! Colors are spot on. Buy from this seller and not one of the imitation ones. You will not be disappointed.

This is the absolute best gift you can give any fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I bought my girlfriend one while we were in college, and after introducing her roommates to the show, they all wanted one too! Appa is the perfect size for snuggling, and for watching Avatar or Korra on the couch. If you're really into the newer flying bison that are featured on Korra, then you can buy more than one of these. Each one is just different enough that you can tell them apart, which makes me think they are each handmade. Finally, as many others have stated, Appa is super soft and very high quality! If you're wondering what to get the Avatar fan in your life, get this!
