If forced sexual situations aren't for you, don't read this
It was written well and I enjoyed the female threesome, what I do not enjoy is the disregard of the word no. You don't get to force the issue if the person has rejected the notion, and the BDSM community would be all over Aidon's ass about the lack of a safe word for starters. You don't force yourself on someone, and you don't forcefully whip them to get them to yield or give in to you. But that's exactly what Aidon's does within the first, what, hour maybe of snatching Persephone. Like it's immediate, no gently luring her in, no long seduction to get her into the idea. This is as bad of Fifty Shades, a book who also got the whole BDSM wrong. I want to get into this book, it's one of my favorite myths, but I can tell you right now The Eighth House by Eris A. did it sooooo much better.

Quick, dirty, fun read
This book was such a pleasant surprise! I was looking for something quick and dirty, and this book checked all the boxes. It was steamy, the mythology was awesome, the characters were so loveable, and it was an all around fun read. This will definitely be one of those books that I reread a few times in the future.

Sexy Erotic Retelling!
I have a weakness for sexy retelling of classic stories. In the Surrender of Persephone, Selena Kitt takes on the Greek Myth if Persephone and gives it a sexy erotic twist. What if Persephone was a submissive and Aidon (Hades) a Dominant? The world we visit in this story is one of decadence and sexy well written dominance and submission. Anyone who enjoys Greek Myths and like classics shaken up and made sexier than one would think possible will love this story in Kitt's Myths Behaving Badly series.

Smoking Hot!
Gulp, it is true... some writers are just SO much better than others. Kudos to Selena Kitt - lady you can sure write a twisted tale (wink)! I really don't know what I expected when I started reading this book but alas I was most pleasantly surprised. This book is H.O.T. and the details are very good. I was sucked into the Underworld right along with Persephone only I wasn't unsure of the wild ride I was embarking on. This is really a very good erotic book and I highly recommend it to those that enjoy this genre. Smoking Hot!

It was original but....
I couldnt get with how immature Sephie was. It never said how old she was but she acted like she was 15- always insisting she was an adult but never acting the part. She was not confident in herself at all.I did however, love Aidon! Mans man! Idk how he could have found Sephie attactive with all that whinning and pitifulness.

Horrifying
If this could get 0 stars it would’ve. First time writing a review after reading books on here for years because I just felt compelled to steer people away from this disturbing novel. I love a good Persephone and hades story as much as the next Greek mythology nerd, I also love erotica. I do not, however, like heavy themes of rape, kidnapping and Stockholm syndrome.

A nice quick read
Exactly what I was looking for. A nice quick read, with a lot of imagination. I wish the author would add more to this series! So good!

Hot
Well made me wonder what else these Greeks were up to. She surrender to him was something else and he could not do without her

Kind of thought it would be as if the Greek mythology I read as a child was being sullied a bit...but this was a great read.
I've read a few tales by this author, some ok, some not at all what I expected, but this I knew was going to be a 'bastardisation' of a classic tale. And it was, but done in a very readable way, and I can hand-on-heart say that it got better the more I read.Yes, it was hot, and yes, I missed the bit in the blurb about the FFF bit, so I was a bit taken aback when the genteel Virgin Goddesses Athena and Artemis got it on with good girl Pesephone (big time, pretty extended scene), but then the tale veered more into Persephone's tale of her seduction by, and marriage to, Hades, aka Aidon in this tale.It had quite a bit of BDSM, which is not my thing (downloaded this as it was a freebie), but luckily, it was not of the 'abasing/jerk' variety, but take away the excessiveness of it, and the liberties that the author has taken with this book, and the tongue-in-cheekness of it, and you realise that it is well thought-through, well-written and quite an enjoyable read. Oh, and you may never see 'mint' in the same way again! But, it is erotica more than romance, and it seemed to be pretty much endless sessions between Persephone and Aidon...which began to get a bit tiring...However, after the wedding ceremony, it did pick up and turn more into the tales of old Greek, with death, treachery, revenge, the Furies, Gods, demi-gods, Goddesses et al. But to my surprise, it ended up being tender, sincere and romantic. Pretty much perfect overall.I still won't have the author on Autobuy, as she can be rather hit-and-miss, but this was a very good read. For a one-off.

interspersed with a lot of sex - pretty good depending on what you like
Uninspired retelling of the myth, interspersed with a lot of sex - pretty good depending on what you like. But Persephone was so irritating and juvenile I couldn't be bothered reading about her getting off.

a must read of the gods!
This is the first book I have read by this author and I must say I really enjoyed it.Persephone is the God of spring. She is taken and ravaged by Aidoneus (Adion) the God of the underworld and she loves it.Oh my! there are some great scenes.Selena Kitt - as it states - definitely loves the things that make her purr and to make others purrrrr along with her!!
