Thule Vectros 11" MacBook Air Bumper (3202975)

Just today received this unit, for my mac air 11". Installation directions are clear.Actual installation required patience, but the fit is exact.As I have seen this reviewed on other sites, some people were annoyed about how tough it was to install the optional, clear surface shields. Maybe there has been a design update since those reviews (small tabs hold the shields in place), but I experienced no problem, although removing the clear protective film from the shields is not effortless.I would concur with reviewers elsewhere that the price is steep for this item. But rather than the cutesy token "skins" available for a laptop, this baby is actually built with withstand some shock. Because the mac air is light in portability. walking around the house with it can be a recipe for disaster. For that reason alone, I feel that this item is worth having.One other initial observation: With this bumper in place, the click on the touch pad has taken on an annoying hollow sound, due to the suspension of the mac within the bumper.

Great Bumper and if you watch Thule's video impressive. Would have given it 5 stars but would never have known hat it weights the screen of the Macbook Air 13 inching such a way that if the screen is tilted past vertical it can slowly ease itself open. Will have to see if over time it puts enough tension/stress on the MacBooks hinge causing it to eventually open fully past 90 degrees in relation to the keyboard. I have utilized many Thule products and appreciate the build of this case. It incorporates shock absorbing inner foam and a ridged bumper inside t absorb impact. For all of us out there who drop or let slip their laptop from time time this is a great case/bumper set.

This is a durable case but it's super hard to get it off your computer and adjust it without breaking the protector itself. Then there's a clear screen in between the actually laptop itself and it always gets unhinged and slides everywhere. I hated that part so I ended up taking it off and then it broke from being so hard to detach it from my laptop itself. I tried to get another one via warranty but have yet to be contacted from the company. It's been like a month and a half already, lame.

I bought this for someone going to college and really wanted to make sure the computer survives. She actually love the case and the computer has held up really well. It does ad some size to the computer but for the amount of protection its worth it. The plastic sheets that cover the center areas are tricky to place. The tabs are very small and not effective. But once the ends are secure the plastic centers are held secure.The biggest fear was having the computer fall off her loft or desk and I didn't think some of the other cases would help at all. This seemed to have the best protection and truthfully I was impressed with others reviews.

I brought this down to 2 stars because it's a failed product. It did last me a few months but I never thought Thule would make products of such cheap material or bad design. Bad fitting. The small plastic clips that hold it to the laptop easily break. I did not drop my laptop ONCE since I've owned it. So how does it break so easily? Bad material and design I believe. Then not only does it break but since it doesn't fit so well it immediately pops off rendering it useless. Don't spend your money for the only reason you would do so is because it looks fancy.NOTE: This is the 11" version I have no idea how the other size bumpers work but you've been warned!

Awesome case, the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because the clear protective inserts don't have a thoughtful way of being inserted. They are marginally larger than the outline of the bumper and in order to get mine to work i ended up having to double-sided tapping it and using super glue

Excellent! I don't know what all the complaints are about. I do know that vast majority of the population can't fix a leaky faucet without profe$$onal assistance and would starve if they didn't have a microwave. Simple to install and fits like a glove. A Russian tank for my MacBook Air 11"!BTW- For those who may be interested, even with this 'bumper' installed, it will still fit nicely into the various Thule 11" cases. No need to get a lager size.

It took considerable effort to get the final clip to seat firmly around the lower half, but now that it's on, it makes me feel much better about taking my MB Air on the road. Not cheap, but good insurance. Admittedly, it's not very sexy if you care about that.

Very tight fit, some of the precision machining is missing. My new case arrived noticed it was refusing to fit as one of the clips was deformed.Adjusted the mutant clip and eventually got case to sort of fit.Overall I like it but check your order carefully as mentioned delicate parts are not 100% right.

Very good and protects well, slightly difficult to fit, but i feel much happier transporting it for work outdoors

Very disappointed, I have always brought THULE products but this item was very bad quality.First .. the packaging had been opened a few times before I had received it, as the box and tabs were worn .Secondly the item did not fit on the bottom cover leading me to believe this item was a customer return and not new .Will not buy again .If you buy this item , make sure its not this item sent out again 👎👎👎

Does exactly what it says.Was simple to fit and seems to provide very good protection. It also stops it sliding about on desks and makes it easier to hold whilst moving it about.
