Pick Up Sticks and Jack's Bundle

these items are full of memories from my childhood. i have always enjoyed pick up sticks and playing jacks. the best part is the ball is not one of those soft mushy balls they used to give with the game of jacks like they used to sell when i was young. this ball is nice and bouncy. i used to have to get a super ball when i was a kid coz those mushy balls barely bounces and there was always no way to pick up the jacks and catch the ball thus the need for a super ball. this ball gives enough time to pick up the jacks and catch the ball

I knew this was an inexpensive item, and didn't expect too much from it and my goal was just to introduce my niece to these classic games. However, the ball doesn't bounce high enough. Further, it rolled across the floor while we were playing and someone coming through the room stepped on it by accident, and it split in half! The p/u sticks were just fine.The item was shipped only in a padded envelope, which should not have been done with the items in a tin. When it arrived the tin was somewhat flattened. Since I didn't want to bother returning it, I straightened out the tin myself; however, if it had taken any real abuse during shipment it would have been ruined.

This thing is a joke. Don't waste your money.The sticks aren't the correct amount, just to few, and very bad quality.And the Jack's very small, and bad quality as well.We didn't even bother in returning them.Just thrown away.

For the price the plastic pick up stocks should have been weightier! The ball of jacks is also flimsy. I bought it for children I volunteer for and am not happy.

When one sees "old school" activities like these certain fond memories come to mind. It was those memories that prompted me to purchase these items in combination as a simple yet enjoyable way to spend time with my grandchildren. How disappointing to discover the pickup sticks so small and flimsy and the jacks and ball so tiny and light they look like something out of a time store gumball machine. I may be able to use these with the grandchildren when they are teenagers but certainly not now at 3 and 5.

Remember when it was fun to play jacks, marbles, chinese checkers, run, play tag, ride bikes or roller skate all day long? In this day & age where many households have several gaming systems, several TVs and such I think it's easy to forget that it's good to sometimes 'unplug' ourselves from the TV, games, computers and just play simple things.I was looking for something that I can work on my kids to develop their hand / eye coordination and the dexeterity in my 6yr old's hands. I wasn't sure of the quality when I ordered but these jacks are the real deal...metal and not cheap, light plastic. The pick up sticks aren't very 'thick' but I've got 2 boys who LOOOVE to play pick up sticks and they've yet to break even a single one. It's not uncommon to find them on my kitchen floor while I'm cooking or cleaning in the kitchen while they play game after game of pick up sticks. The set also includes a game of Tiddly Winks but so far, my boys haven't been a fan of playing it much. The jacks are a bit harder to master but WE are all improving. :-) We love it so much that we bought a set for my kid's school classroom as well. Here's to simple fun!! :-)

The Jacks in this set are very teeny tiny. And the Pick Up Sticks are very lightweight and rather cheap. My daughter lost interest within a few minutes.

Is very nice . As I remember in Cuba . I use to play lots with this , but the Jacks are very small . Not as I espected . But will be a nice present for my Goddaughter .

I purchased this product to use in the after school co-ordination club that I supervise. The children have enjoyed using the pick up sticks and the Jacks N Balls. Encourages fine motor skills.

What can you say the oldies are the best

Grandchildren haven't stopped playing with these games, either one keeps them keeps them happy for hours..Just shows you the old ones are the best ones.
