ProntoTec 7" Android 4.4 KitKat Tablet PC, Cortex A8 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor,512MB / 4GB,Dual Camera,G-Sensor (White)

I recently purchased this tablet in order to play some videos during a very long road trip. We weren't in a position to spend a lot of money and I was really looking for the cheapest thing that would work. I was skeptical that the audio and visual from the videos would play smoothly but I wasn't disappointed. The battery life isn't the longest but it isn't the shortest either. It last about 3 hours playing videos the entire time. You aren't supposed to use it while it is charging so that could turn some people off too. The screen isn't as sensitive as more expensive tablets but I have managed just fine. Even though I originally purchased it for a road trip I seem to be using it every day just to check emails, browse the web, pay bills, and to shop. The volume isn't the loudest but it isn't the softest either. You can plug in head phones if you need to. You can even plug this into a more modern TV and stream videos from YouTube or other websites. I am giving it 5 stars not because it is the best tablet on the market, but for the price it is an excellent little device.

When I ordered this product, considering the price of $50, I wasn't expecting much. I was surprised at how well it works, and does everything I need. No, it isn't an Ipad, but it's $50!!! For getting on Facebook, surfing the internet, and looking at my photos, it works fine. While the screen is not HD, I can plug my HDTV into the tablet's HDMI port and see my photos in beautiful perfect color. For wandering around the house, it works well with my computers WIFI. The touch screen works better that my wife's $150 tablet. For the price, I would buy another one just to see my photos and videos on my 55" HDTV. And maybe another one to keep in the car to use with my cable company's WIFI hotspots around town.

UPDATE: The second tablet that I ordered had good batteries and the soft keys functioned properly. Developer options still missing and unable to activate. Have no ability to change USB mode when connected to PC. SuperU pre-installed as a system app might help prevent unauthorized system modification. Also noticed that they had removed the HDMI port from the product description. The one I got still had it but the black version that I had to replace did not so I am assuming that they will be phasing out the old version for the newer one that does not have an HDMI port. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The battery discharges from a full charge in less than 5 minutes. Android KitKat is misconfigured on the tablet that I received. The soft keys (navigation bar) cannot be modified. The camera app and the google play app are permanently positioned and I am unable to move or replace them. Also could not access developer options to disable root access. I tried clicking on build number several times to make it appear on the settings menu but nothing happens even after seeing the notification saying "you are now a developer". Super user for all apps enabled by ProntoTec which allows malware from in game ads to easily infect tablet. Mobogenie started installing games without permission within a minute of going online via WiFi. I am returning the tablet and ordering another one. I own the black version of the same model and it has none of the problems that I have with the white one. I will update this review once I have the new tablet. Hoping for the best.

I HAVE OWNED THIS PRODUCT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND IT IS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, IT NO LONGER STAYS CHARGED IT ONLY HOLD 4.5 MIN EVEN AFTER CHARGING ALL NIGHT :( IT'S STORAGE EMPTIES ON IT'S OWN TO "CREATE SPACE" ERASING FILES, THE AC/DC CORD IS 2.5 FEET LONG SO YOU CAN NOT USE THE DEVICE WHILE PLUGGED IN, IT IS TRASH, I TRIED CONTACTING THE COMPANY ABOUT A LONGER CORD AND GOT NO RESPONSE. PLEASE NOT THAT THEY HAVE A CLAUSE IN THE PACKAGING THAT IF YOU GIVE THEM A FIVE STARE REVIEW THEY WILL GIVE YOU A FREE GIFT, SO BUYER BE VERY AWARE THIS STARTS OFF AMAZING BUT IT IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE. MY ORIGINAL REVIEW IS BELOW, THIS IS THE UPDATE TO WHAT THE DEVICE HAS TURNED INTO, ALSO NOT THE LARGE REVIEW THAT HAS THE VIDEO IS NOT THIS DEVICE, IT IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, FOR EXAMPLE THIS DEVICE DOES NOT HAVE THE JELLIES ON IT AND YOU EVEN THE APPS YOU DOWN LOAD OFTEN DISABLE, ALL ON THERE OWN, PREVENTING YOU FROM USING THEM, ALSO THE TOUCH SCREEN BECOMES UNRESPONSIVE VERY QUICKLY. UPDATED **I have tried to contact the company they refuse to get back to me!!!I can not edit my seller feedback to reduce the stars so I am just going to delete it This is a great little device, came well packaged and in perfect condition, everything was included and I love the touch screen protector makes it easy to clean :) The product is great for the price and you get more then expected. Not to mention dealing with an excellent seller. This has an easy to use touch screen even for my hubby who has larger fingers and had issues with other devices LOVE IT :) I am going to be buying again...to be continued

Bought 3 of them for my kids as Christmas gifts 2 are perfect 1 the power button stuck on it waiting to hear back from them on a resolution hoping to get a replacement not interested in a refund my daughter really wants her tablet fixed or replaced other than that product is great kids love them I'm satisfied with the price and timely deliver great product I definitely recommend this tablet to friends and family.
