Timex Men's T2P382 Intelligent Stainless Steel Watch with Beige Leather Band

...it is definitely not for everyone. Here's a rundown:SIZE: This watch is large, heavy and thick. It is very prominent on the wrist. It may not be suited for a petite woman or slightly built man as the strap lugs could overlap the curvature of the wrist and stick out on either side.CHRONOGRAPH: The chronograph on this watch utilizes a sweep second hand and two semi-circular sub-dials. The second hand measures seconds down to 1/5th of a second. The lower sub-dial measures minutes up to 10 in increments of one minute, and the upper sub dial measures hours up to 4 in increments of 10 minutes. Each sub-dial resets to zero after its maximum value is reached. The system works fine and the sub-dials contribute to the overall great aesthetics of the design. The upper sub dial is a bit crowded with numbers and tick marks, and must be read at a correct angle to be accurate. It takes a little getting used to but is not too difficult.The chronograph will do split times, but it does not do lap times. Pushing the bottom button while the chronograph is running merely resets all the hands to zero.The chronograph buttons do not have a positive click like some do. If you are an accuracy freak this might be a problem. For me it is a slight inconvenience, easy to get used to.TACHYMETER: The tachymeter is not a function. It is a logarithmic scale just inside the bezel. It is used to measure distance when speed is known or speed when distance is known. It can be useful in certain circumstances, but requires a bit of a learning curve. Most people consider it a cool looking frill.ILLUMINATION: Very nice! The Indiglo function is activated by pushing in on the crown. It illuminates the entire watch face except for the date window. There is also fluorescent-type illumination, but only on the hour and minute hands.ACCURACY: I’ve had the watch since St. Patrick's day, and so far it is keeping second-by-second pace with my very accurate atomic wall clock.BAND: Nice, flexible, soft and comfortable. The beige color is very light. If this is not for you, or you want to wear it during fall or winter, just get another band… it’s worth it!SECOND TIME ZONE: This uses the upper sub-dial 24 hour scale to measure hours in 1 hour increments. You use the regular minute and second hands for the rest of the reading as minutes and seconds do not change with time zones. As mentioned earlier, the upper sub-dial is crowded and takes some getting used to. Setting the second time zone to your home time zone gives you a local 24-hour format scale. The second time zone is set by pulling the crown out to the first click and using the upper chronograph button to set the hour.That about covers it. I will update as I learn new things. This watch blends modern technology with some classic styling. It has some size to it without being too heavy, and Timex has incorporated some good functionality into it. I swapped out the beige band for a brown leather band with contrast stitching. It's dressy enough for the office, perhaps even with a nice tweed jacket, but probably not formal enough for use with a suit, and yet sporty enough for more casual settings.

The band has a reguler buckle. Not as advertised having, "Leather calfskin band with deployant-clasp closure". I expected a deployment buckle on the band. That was one reason that chose this particular timex watch. Let the buyer beware.

Superbly designed watch. Looks great. The indigo nightlight is fantastic. Very modern design.I replaced the beige strap with a brown leather replacement. Looks better in my opinion

This watch looks better than I expected. I love it.But you should buy new band after ordering this model. because it'll be worn out soon.

i like. the number 4 hand (1-9 minute) did not go back to zero and reset at 9 insteqd of 10. will try another one.

I have several of these fly-back chronographs from Timex. They work well and I do like the distinctive yet clean styling. I should stop browsing Amazon, because I'm tempted to buy another one....

It's clean and sharp.I would recommend it; however, the original strap that comes with this watch is s***.

This is a fantastic watch , feels really well built , and expensive . I particularly like the way that you are able to calibrate the 4th hand , so that it sits perfectly over the 12 position when the chronograph is stopped . The watch looks amazing , and the backlight is particularly slick . All round , a wonderful timepiece to have on your wrist .

Très belle montre aussi bien pour femmes que pour hommes. Comme avec toutes les montres de Timex, le mode d'emploi est assez brouillon. Ils reprennent toutes les montres d'une même catégorie dans un mode d'emploi. Service impeccable!
