Gold's Gym 40lb Adjustable Dumbbell, Set of 2

Same thing as another reviewer. The description implies that you get 2 - 40lbs dumbbells, when in reality it's 40lbs total weight. Misleading when the total package weight is listed as 80lbs and it's described as a 40lbs dumbbell pair. Not to mention that at a price of over $200, no one would think this is only a pair of 20lbs dumbbells. Quality is good, it's just not what I thought I was paying for given the description.

I assumed this was a set of two 40lb dumbbells, considering it is titled "Gold's Gym 40lb Adjustable Dumbbell, set of two". Also, the packaging weight is labeled "80lbs". However, it is, in fact, a set of two 20lb. dumbbells. The title and description are misleading. I paid $200.00 for a pair of 20lb dumbbells.

I’ve had this set for a week now. It’s a nice quality set, but as a previous reviewer noted - much cheaper at Walmart ($30-$35). The handle has a slight convex shape to it and the texture is not as rough as other dumbbell handles. which makes it more comfortable to hold. The only thing I don’t like is the strong petroleum smell on your hands after using them. It doesn’t come off easily. Hopefully that’ll go away with time.

This is not worth 219$ It supposed to be pair of weights but instead of pair I’ve got only one weight which is 34lb, on their website it’s 40lb. Save your time and money and don’t waste it with this people

I don't know why these are so expensive on Amazon, you can pick up the set at Walmart for much cheaper. It is a reasonable set for the price, however the spin locks that keep the weights on are ceramic or something. They shattered the 2nd time I used this set so I can't keep the weights on. Granted I was lifting pretty heavy weight with it, but if you buy these, just know you will likely have to buy better constructed spin locks which will set you back probably another $20.

People scalping equipment at 3x, 4x, 5x prices that could be used to improve someone's health! Shameful!
