I spread this over the area where my dog likes to sun herself in the backyard. She’s gotten a couple stings from fire ants. (I really hate those things!!!) I have a hard time keeping my Texas doggie girl from sunning herself when she wants to go out in the yard. The granules last longer than the sprays (which are still great, BTW).This is a definite deterrent and after spreading a generous amount in those areas, she hasn’t suffered any stings or bites from anything! It smells awesome and is non toxic to her -which is a top priority. I also put some in a mesh bag to scent my closet- wonderful!!! I also put some in a small mesh bag in my vehicle- ahhhhh! such a nice scent…

love this stuff. spread all around where stray cat/kittens have been laying around, and fleas started disappearing rapidly. Just wish the price was a little lower, I have a HUGE yard and 2 bags arent gonna cover it all. But plan to use in the main areasHighly recommend

Definitely helped with the mosquitoes in my yard. I was able to enjoy my yard for like 3 weeks or so before I got a couple heavy rains and it washed some of it away. Definitely will order again.Doesn’t really work with Ants, but my main goal was the mosquitos.

This stuff smells amazing! If you like the smell of cedar, this is awesome to spread in your yard! We live in a hot desert environment, but have a lush green backyard with fruit trees and grass. Lately we have been having a very bad (very bad for a desert) mosquito infestation! And we don't even have any water sources, though we do have vegetation which does attract them. Anyways, we dump a whole bag of this all over our grass and under some plants and for the next 2-3 days it smells amazing and keeps bugs at bay. But that's about it. After 3 days everything just slowly goes back to normal. So we use this when we plan to be out in the backyard with friends and kiddos for a party or something, because otherwise it doesn't seem worth it to dump a bag of (not very cheap) "cedarcide" for only a couple of days of relief. Still 100% better than dumping chemicals in your own yard.

I really wanted a natural solution for our yard, but this just didn't work. We bought these specifically to deal with a cricket problem and spread them all over the backyard, but I can still hear them loud and clear every night.More importantly, I just found a tick on my cat. She only has access to a secure enclosure in our backyard, so the granules definitely didn't create the "bug-free" zone they promised.Save your money is not worth the price. It smells nice, but it didn't keep the bugs away from our backyard.

We love this for treating our fenced in back yard where our two little pups get to play and do their business. Non toxic and it really works for repelling fleas, mosquitoes and ants.

So I found this on the green genie and I started purchasing this and putting around my yard every 3 weeks. I started putting it around the house and yard out to the fence starting in December in South GA North Florida area. I was thinking it was working, there were only a few mosquitoes hanging out int heir normal areas and they seemed to leave when spreading the mulch. Now that we are officially in Spring the mosquitoes are back and are unaffected by this mulch. So I've spent $45-$50 four times for four applications and this stuff is not working. You can see in these pictures, the cedar mulch I applied a week ago is apparent in the picture on the brick and yet there are several mosquitoes just chilling above the mulch. I was hoping since a Florida nursery was praising this product it was the real thing, but they must be getting paid for advertising. Shame. $200 loss. Maybe it works up north but apparently not in south GA/North FL.
