DHP Richmond Espresso Wood Arm Futon with 8” Coil Futon Mattress in Grey Linen - Full

I love the finish product! I looked at several other options and glad I chose this futon. The only downside is the assembly was a little challenging, because of the size of the screws. (Suggestion: when tightening the screws, use the small flat wrench instead of the allen wrench to tighten them it for the grip). I'm 6ft 2in, so I can't sleep on it, but it is surprisingly long, and it's very comfortable. It's made of a quality material/mattress, so it's comfortable. I would definitely suggest getting this one.

I am very pleased with the quality and look of this futon. The mattress is thick and is solid across (no dividing crease in the middle where it folds inward). The frame is attractive and the blue material on the mattress is a great color. This is a great option for added sleeping in a compact space.

It’s one huge and heavy box of goodness! The futon frame was easy to assemble as a single person. The mattress and bottom and back rails are fastened tight and the rest of the pieces are padded and protected. Not a scratch on the wood or metal rails. Yay! The 8” mattress fabric is a great color and quality. But it is firm and I could feel the rails when I flopped down. So don’t flop. Then consider a thick mattress pad for the comfort of your guests! The mattress was the reason I took off one star... but then I have to consider how comfortable I expect a futon to be...

We found the quality of this Futon lacking. The directions warn you not to use a power driver to assemble so we used a manual. The threads feel like it would not take much to strip them out. We went with the wood arm rests for looks, they feel very fragile. The instructions tell you not to use them to move the bed around and to disassemble when relocating the bed. Two guests that have slept on the mattress have less than good things to say about it's comfort.

Bed arrived nicely packed in one box. One you open the box pieces are inside so you can carry the pieces individually to the are you want to assemble. Espresso color is nice and decent quality. Mattress seems lumpy and almost too large to fold into the couch. A 6” mattress may have actually better. I ordered the grey linen. The fabric looks cheap for the cost of this bed. The weave is hard to describe but not tight. Also the color of the grey is in between light and dark but a very pleasing grey color. I think it would be better if it was actually darker or lighter. My main disappointment is how lumpy the mattress looks when in the futon couch position. I was willing to pay the higher price because all the Lower priced futons had poor reviews. Disappointed for the price.

Shipping box was extremely heavy. Easy assembly. I took me less than an hour to put it together.

Unable to resume couch position unless mattress was removed, other than that great.

ups only send one driver out with this 147 lb box,,,I'm glad I was home. But then,latter when I went to set it up. All the bolts and nuts weren't there. The hard plastic package had broke open and everything was everywhere,and some had escaped.? It's nice now that it's all set up.
