This toaster is the perfect size for my small kitchen—compact but efficient. The red color adds a fun pop, and it was easy to set up right out of the box. It’s easy to clean, and the overall quality is great for the affordable price. Toasts evenly every time!

This is my second purchase to replace the previous toaster which I gave to a friend. I had been using it for 5 years and it was still going strong! I like appliances that aren't too high tech and this one fit the bill. It looks pretty on my kitchen counter, has wide slots for bagels, a cancel button to pop up your toast early if you want, the tray at the bottom opens easily to shake out the crumbs, and it is easy to operate. What more do you want? It tended to toast a little darker as the toaster aged, but that's what the shade selector is for, right? I was thrilled that it still came in red, and the price didn't break the bank.

First few uses there was a smell of burning plastic. After 2 months of use it sporadically would not toast one side. Even though I turned up the toast level it would not toast darker and I would have to retoast. Maybe I got a faulty one.

After reading the bad reviews on most toasters at any price, I was prepared to be disappointed after ordering this one. When it arrived, I plugged it in outside and cycled it a few times but did not notice any odd chemical odors. I did notice that the center element did not glow as brightly as the two outer elements, so I thought I would have to return it. Then I started using it for toasting. This toaster had me smiling after the first time I toasted an English muffin. It was toasted to perfection. with the nooks and crannies of each half pointed toward the center. Then I tried it with the nooks and crannies of each half pointed toward the outside and again perfection. Then I realized that the lower glow from the inner element is probably by design to keep the temperature even throughout the toaster. I would often have to cut off burnt edges of English muffins when using our old Proctor-Silex 4 slice toaster. This Hamilton Beach 2 slice toaster has guides that grip and hold the slices centered in each slot, and I have yet to have any burnt edges after toasting 22 muffins so far. It took a couple tries to find the right thermostat setting for English muffins, but once I found 6.5 out of 7 is ideal, I have not had to touch the dial at all. I noticed in the Proctor-Silex that as a toaster ages, the setting has to be lowered not raised slightly as the years go by, so I am glad it is now at the high end of the range. When the toaster shuts off, the muffins are not easy to remove from the toaster. No problem. Raising the handle lifts both halves above the toaster where they can easily be pulled out of the toaster with fingers about an inch above the top of the toaster. I am glad this toaster has the simple hinged large trap door on the bottom. It is so much easier than dealing with a removable tray. I just unplug the toaster, grip it with one hand by the top center trim and carry it to the sink. At the sink I slide the cylindrical catch on the trap door to open it and shake the crumbs into the sink. This could not be easier. For only $15, this toaster is a very pleasant surprise, not just because of the price, but because it works so much better the the $60 toaster it replaced..

Es un buen producto, las ranuras son de buen tamaño incluso para rebanadas de pan gruesas. Sin mayores sofisticaciones, cumple con su propósito adecuadamente.
