Quick Change Out & Improved Results....
I was interested in boosting the signal to one of my PCs at home. I have a Linksys wireless ethernet card and the signal was 4 bars. The boss was complaining the signal was "too weak" for her shopping (aka- too slow upon checking out). So, I was in search of an upgraded wireless card but stumbled upon people simply upgrading their antennas instead. I found this one and thought I would give it a try. Very inexpensive way to boost a signal.I received the single antenna about 3 days later. The company I purchased from thru Amazon, Jacobs Parts was very prompt and I received an email the same day that the item had shipped. Here we are today, I received the antenna and installed it within 3 minutes. When I removed the previous antenna from the wireless card, I noticed that the length of the original antenna was a couple of inches taller than the one I received today. I had some hesitation about switching them out, but decided to give it a try anyway. Once the old antenna was removed the signal on my PC dropped immediately. After replacing it with the new antenna, I had to go into the network settings and click on 'trouble shoot' the wireless adapter (Win 7 32-bit Ultimate). Windows found the card with the new antenna and within 1 minute it found the signal. The PC immediately had full bars and upon doing a speed test, I noticed an uninterrupted download / upload test. The PC seem to go thru pages faster. I believe this product works really well for the price...very effective! My next test is to purchase 3 of these antennas for my D-link router. I'm curious now to see my router signal / range will be improved / expanded with the use of these antennas...I will report once I make the purchase and install...Good Luck!!

people give bad reviews because they don't test correctly this antenna
I used it to change my 2 dbi old antenna just because I wanted to receive signal in my bedroom, and at the beginning it seemed that it did not give a difference in my bedroom, so I asked a refund because it did not work at all, but then I went outside of my house and I went to the street and the signal had increased about 15 ft and I went again to my bedroom and it try it again and watching on the router's configuration it showed that my phone was receiving 32% of signal and in my cellphone it had only one bar of signal. I changed again to the 2 dbi and I did the same and the router said that it was receiving 18% of signal and it still had just one bar, because it has 3 bars so every one means 33.3% that's why it is always on one bar and several times I have seen 2 bars, so what I recommend is that before you give a bad review try not to focus just on the bars of signal, because if you see in a computer 5 bars mean 100% so each one is 20% so maybe just because it increased 18% it is not showing the next bar, but this thing really worked. actually I have already bought a 10 dbi antenna and I'm sure that now the signal will increase a lotRecomendation: Search for a software (or maybe your router's configuration includes it) that can show the percentage of the signal that every device is receiving, DO NOT TRUST JUST IN THE SIGNAL BARS

Perfect antenna!
This is a good antenna, do not let the other reviews fool you here, I knew exactly what I was ordering and because of this I received the maximum possible benefit from this antenna. The end of the description says what type of connector it uses. SO LOOK UP YOUR WIFI CARD OR ROUTER ALWAYS BEFORE ORDERING. I can not stress it enough, I have been the stupid one and ordered the wrong parts before. Next check the decibal rating and the wavelength of your wireless device, you can take these to a wavelength calculator and get the max antenna size, if you go too big you lose signal, if you go too small you lose signal.Just remember to research before you buy and you should be good.

Point and Click
I installed this onto my mother's single band wireless N router and pointed it directly at her computer's location upstairs. Her download went from 10Mbs to the max of 50Mbs!This is antenna is longer and a bit thicker than the standard router antenna, but It feel's solid. This product did exactly what I needed it to do.This antenna has been in use for over a month and have had 0 issues.I do not expect to have any issues with this product.

His card was an older PCI card and he complained that it didn't have a good signal and it made his gaming a near impossibility
I purchased this antenna to add to the wireless card on my sons computer. His card was an older PCI card and he complained that it didn't have a good signal and it made his gaming a near impossibility. So I added this and it made a huge difference, even on our older PCI card. One thing to note is this isn't a small antenna. It's about 7.5 inches from end to end, so when it's installed and bent at the elbow, it's nearly 7 inches (17cm). That doesn't make any difference to us, but if you are working with a small area, that might be good to note.

Great replacement for flimsy "high gain" antennas on Linksys AC1200
Great quality. Coverage is similar to "high gain" but these stay put and seem to be made MUCH better. Note that they are sold one as a quantity of one. I tried one and was pleased so I replaced the remaining HG antenna as well since it would no longer stay in position. Purchase a Qty of 2 if you want to replace both.

Doesn't do much
I tested my signal strength prior to adding this to my router and tested again after adding it. It didn't really do anything to boost my signal.

IT WORKS!!!!
I don't know what the other people are pissed about who say they had an issue with this but this literally boosted my single well on my PCI wireless very nicely... Oh yes... for anyone who is confused...when you purchase this... and u see quantity ( 1 ) that is what you are going to get ONE antenna so purchase 3 so u can hook up this bad boy to your card if u have 3 antennas backing to screw it on.... and see the better single performance.
