It just works.
My 12v AC transformer was working okay with my LED strip lights, though they flickered noticeably. This AC to DC converter eliminated all of the flicker, producing a relatively smooth DC output. The product description says waterproof. For that reason, I am leaving it exposed to weather. It's already been rained on a few times with no effect yet. Hope that remains true. Hook up was easy. The unit specifies that max wattage output. Be mindful of that when selecting a converter to be sure you have sufficient wattage to match the draw. I'm drawing less than half the max, so I anticipate a long life.

Works for a LED strip
I had old 12V kitchen under cabinet lights which consumed 150W of power through a 120V->12V transformer, and I did a little project to switch them to the LED light strips. The old lights were AC, so in order to change the circuit to DC, I had to purchase this converter, and it simply works! The setup is now the following:Power source -> Dimmer Switch -> transformer -> converter -> light stripsEverything works as expected, even dimmer, and it retrofits into the existing switch/wiring design

Outdoor LED Light Power
Works great to transform my outdoor 12 VAC to 12 VDC regulated power to run led lights I did in a fence project. This is a large unit and the exterior “water resistance” features around the cord exits doesn’t build confidence so I put the unit in its own rated water enclosure from a local home improvement warehouse. Does what it says and gives plenty of power. Try to update later for longevity. Paid this with a Shelly controller with HomeKit firmware flash and you have a great little setup! Control my fence lights with HomeKit automation. You put the Shelly unit on the AC power side.

3A MAX and not waterproof
Fails at 3A max on 12AWG cable, and not waterproof at all.in a typical landscape application, the power drawn is over 12AWG cableMeasured results show that max 3.0A (36W) is capable to be drawn (vs spec of 5.42A)also the construction is questionable and NOT waterproof as suggested, the internal PCB whilst sprayed for some protection, is not potted and the voltage doubler capacitors are open, hence any water ingress would short the electronics.

Easy to install DC converter
I bought this to convert the 12V AC that comes out of my landscape lighting transformer so that I can run DC-powered LED lights without getting that annoying flicker that comes from AC--probably will extend the life on the bulbs, too. I went DC because you can buy automotive lights for much cheaper than when they are marketed for landscaping--for whatever reason. Easy to install and light enough to mount right with the transformer. It also has a high (relatively speaking) wattage rating to run many lights.

Works as expected.
It arrived on schedule and is working as expected.I forgot to check dimensions and it is larger than expected. However, careful installation on custom mounting blocks enabled it to fit into the intended use environment. This is being used with LED light strips to backlight a stained glass outdoor decoration in our landscape.

Low voltage DC lights
This really worked for us. We had a couple of step lights on our deck burn out. We bought six new LED lights to replace all of the lights on the steps. Most transformers for deck lights step the voltage down to 12V AC. The new lights were 12V DC and were incompatible with our existing system. In fact, we were unable to find step lights that would work with an AC system. We wired this converter into our lighting system and were able to use the 12V DC LED lights with our current transformer.

Almost perfect
Did exactly what I needed. Only issue was that it arrived in a soft package and the metal where the screws go was all bent. Easy enough to straighten out, but first impressions and all, I was concerned that it got too bumped around and there would be an internal issue, but luckily it was fine.
