The associated app requires a ton of permissions, and I asked here, at the website, and the app store site for more information and got nothing. IF I can't tell what the app is going to do with my phone, I really can't use the device. Feedback from anywhere might make this better.

I am using this button to launch a Tasker app I made to Skype. It works well for that purpose. Sometimes when I press the button it doesn't acknowledge the press and I can't always tell if it has since the green LED too small.

This works on a battery that dies quickly and is not easy to replace... would be perfect if it was usb rechargeable.

I use the remote with the Android app Car Dashdroid on my Moto x 2nd generation. One click for Home which brings up the Dashdroid home screen, two clicks for pause/play, three clicks for next song, and long press for Google Now. When I get in my truck, turning on Dashdroid starts Bluetooth and one click makes a Bluetooth connection. Dashdroid can be set to read incoming SMS messages. Nice!

Disappointing overall. Inconsistent performance, especially when phone in my pocket.

This button is just great! I don’t know why you wouldn’t want this in your car (or any other place for that matter). I guess if you already have a Bluetooth connection to your car and your steering wheel gives you control over your music functions at least, then this button may be a luxury. But if you don’t have that option, this tiny button makes navigating music so much easier! I joke around with my friends, but I think this button may actually save my life one day. I am a minimalist, so I was not a huge fan of the size of this button at first. I was hoping it would be about as big as a quarter, but it is much bigger than that. But having used it in my car now, I really appreciate this size, as it makes it so easy to access and use while driving. The app that it works with is not the best in the world, but it allows me to use this just fine. It even has a customizable option for those who have no need to control music in the car. I won’t be using the camera option (since I keep this in my car), but I suppose the detachable function may one day allow me to carry this button around as a wireless camera clicker. Speaking of the detachable function, this is a really nice touch. You have to option of attaching the button directly to whatever surface you want, but the Velcro option is better on so many levels. You can attach the Velcro to your flat surface, and then a felt pad on the back of the button. There is just one tiiiny design flaw here that I want to address. The flaw itself was pretty frustrating and it was enough to knock off one star. (See details below) However, the usefulness and functionality of the button itself is so awesome that I’ll give it six stars to start with. Hence the overall five. All in all, I highly highly recommend this product to everyone with a smartphone. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review.The back of the button is covered with a thick sticker that looks nice. I didn’t even realize it was a sticker. It has on it three small square-ish incisions that are easy to miss. It covers the screws that you will have to remove if you want to replace the battery. I think the original intention of the makers was to leave a small part of the incised square intact so you can simply lift that part of the sticker and remove the screw, then cover it up again. But it was so hard to lift the sticker in the first place, so I ended up just ripping it off. It took an exacto-knife and a lot of frustrated grunts and scratches. I would highly recommend you go through this process BEFORE you decide to apply the adhesive. The felt-pad is sized just right so it doesn’t cover the screws, but you will have to place it carefully. It would help to remove those incisions and actually see the screws before you place the pad on. Hope this helps!

Very cool item. Fits the need. In fact I liked the CodaClick so much I purchased this for the car.I use for Zello. When correctly setup, you never even see the Zello interface, never have the phone screen come on wasting battery.

Software needs love........ Works until it goes to sleep. Then I have to close the phone application and open it back up to get it to connect.... Bluetooth shows its connected, but no action. And you cannot close the app.. You have to STOP it via Android to get it to work again. I could handle that if I could open the app on demand and use it. Having to navigate via app manager to stop the app is not the answer. The hardware may be ok, but the software is BAD.......Sending back to Amazon.Update 07/06/2017: Vendor says the product is at its "end of life." Suggest that you skip this option......

I am using the button with Zello and it works great.

I've had this only about 2 days and it doesn't work. The Bluetooth won't connect and every time I try to reset it on my phone it shows that its busy every time.

This is a completely disappointing product. When it works, it works really well & you can trigger app you want, i've spent hours trying to make it reliable with my Asus Zenfone 3...
