Excellent Mechanic Tool
I got this because I got tired of having to go to the mechanics to check stuff. This tool makes everything simpler. It is fast responsive and does everything you need it too. I had just bought a used 23 Wrangler that the previous owner had put larger tires on it but the speedometer was never recalibrated on it. I was able to just plug this in and recalibrate the speedometer with the correct tire size.

Great mid-range scan tool
Overall very satisfied with this product, the MX900 is a good mid-range scan tool with a wide range of supported vehicles (US, Euro, Asia.) Along with the expected the ODB inspection readiness check the tool also offers a wide range of OEM specific diagnostics (depending to your vehicle) individual module actuation, adaptation resets and live data capture. Please note that the tool does not appear to allow of extensive 'variant' coding, so keep that in mind if that is something you expect to use.

MP808 - Great diagnostic tool
I have been looking at purchasing a more powerful scanner / diagnostic tool for quite some time. I am a tinkerer and like to work on my own cars and family members' cars and was previously just using an inexpensive $15 code scanner to pull basic trouble codes. When I finally decided to order a better scanner I eventually landed on the MaxiPro MP808 as it had a lot of the Active Test functions available to use that other scanners didn't. I didn't think I needed the additional ECU programming capabilities of the models above this MP808 so this one was perfect. The first day I had this scanner I was able to diagnose a faulty solenoid on my mom's vehicle and already began saving money on diagnostic fees. The Active Test function was absolutely critical in finding the correct failing component and without the test I would have had to just start replacing parts until I stumbled upon the correct one. After I was able to diagnose the issue I was able to order the part and replace it in a few minutes, in total saving around $300. This tool will pay for itself in a matter of weeks in my use-case.MotorZone as a seller has also been great to deal with. I asked them some questions before purchasing and they were very helpful and provided the information I needed when I couldn't find it elsewhere. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and I am confident this MP808 will allow me to diagnose and fix many issues on my cars as they pop up.

Decent for the price. Does much more than advertised, but a bit clunky
Before buying, understand that not all features are the same between all manufacturers. Newer cars simply offer more components you can test. Also, newer Autel models doesn't necessarily mean more features. When you compare this to Autel units that are $1k+, almost all the same features are listed. So why is it more expensive? Larger unit, probably faster internal processor, bluetooth, etc.I was surprised that this unit allowed me to program smart key fobs too! It's not advertised as that, but it works. My biggest gripe is the clunky menus. A LOT of features are hidden deep inside nested menus. You must play around with a few cars to truly understand where to go for testing or viewing live data and it's not always the same from car to car.Updates. Register and update your software asap. Registrations are tied to a specific email. You will not be able to buy product used and download updates because registering the unit is tied to the first initial email. I guess it's possible if they have a relaxed customer service that can update the email to yours, but I haven't had to do that.

impressive but..
*update*After using on many different vehicles in starting to see downsides. Biggest problem is screen glare which is really bad, the menus are ready to navigate once you get a handle on how there laid out but they have the same functions in almost every subsection making it hard at times to see what differences are offered in each area. There's no "tab" or anything letting you know what section your in so when changing ecu to tcu let's say, it's easy to forget which module your in. The functionally is really nice. Over all I'd say this is a great unit for a top end home mechanic. There are a few things I wish it would do like individual cylinder ignition kill like it will with injectors. To update the firmware it has to be plugged into a car and have active Wi-Fi which is a pain in the ass as my WiFi doesn't receive well in my shop. It's supposed to have a firmware update from being plugged in to the wall but mine wouldn't do it. After reading the leaflet in the box about a free battery tester after you review it I was very disappointed when the company kept asking me to do there job in providing info over and over before they would do anything after the 2nd email reply from them asking for every more information in the form of screen shots this time I stepped away from it. It's not worth a "$50 battery tester" for the hassle they were putting me through constantly. I would recommend this unit to others but don't feel it was worth what I paid. I think $500 would be fair for a new one.not cheap but loaded with functions. very impressed with it. the only downsides i see are glare on the screen which is dreadful and you have to back out of a section and re-select the vehicle your working on to test another section. the auto scan function makes it more of an annoyance then anything. still very glad i got it. not something i would recommend for your average tinkerer. definitely need training to fully take advantage of it. being a exmill vehicle mechanic this suites my needs perfectly.
