Excellent performance and value for the money.Purchased as an open box item.Receiver was advertised "like new".Was a little skeptical but decided to take a chance.On receipt, the only thing defective wasa slightly damaged box containing the receiver.For about one third of the suggested retail price, I have a unit in perfect condition.The lesson learned here is that "open box" doesn't necessarily mean damaged goods.Sound quality and bass output are excellent incombination with my midgrade speakers.If there are no issues with your speakers, then thesound should be very acceptable.Bluetooth is an added feature and works great withmy smartphone.This receiver is simple without the additional bells and whistles.It is not necessary to spend hundreds of dollars more to obtain excellent stereo sound quality.I am very satisfied with this receiver.

Insignia NS-STR514 is decent as I purchased for less than $50 refurbished.I would not be so happy with it for more than $100 spent.It does the job for cheap, but I expect to soon "gift it away" and replace it with a unit with a better sounding amplifier.I would lean more toward Onkyo, Yamaha, Denon types for more than a $100 price point.My 25 year old Onkyo 100 watt per channel receiver has a smoother and more clear sound.I'm using it to drive Pioneer SP-FS52 Andrew Jones Designed Floor standing Loudspeakers, mostly for TV, and Bluetooth music, and it's doing a nice job for that at the $50 price point.I expect that most folks will be quite happy with this unit for less than $100.

Great Reciever! Use it for our church when playing videos on the Screen and for music when someone sings a special. I reccomend buying the 120 watt Sony Bookshelf speakers to pair with this. I also like the fact that it is has A and B hookups so you can have 2 sets of speakers in 2 different rooms either playing on A only or B only or both A and B at the same time. In others words you can hookup 4 speakers (2 lefts and 2 rights) in the same room and all playing at the same time for even more volume. Right now we only have one set of speakers hooked up and works really well. Easily fills a 30x30 room with dynamic, clear, and awesome sound.

Used this to hook an older pair of Bose speakers to my TV. Worked like a charm! And the Bluetooth feature connected to my phone is an added bonus. The sound quality is excellent (I am not a sound quality expert). A few things what would improve the product: smaller overall size, smaller remote control size, and connectivity to TV universal remote controls? (unless you can and I haven't figured out how).

I just got this yesterday. I am using this to run two sets of bookshelf speakers and a powered sub simultaneously. Works great so far!I was really surprised with the quality of the bluetooth. I was playing music from an iPhone 6s and it sounded really good. I have had units that cost three times as much (Sony...don't buy Sony) with lower bluetooth quality. All in all, it's a good buy for the price. I am going to try to hook up an equalizer to help improve the sound a little more.

When I first unpacked the receiver, I didn't read the instructions and was not happy with the unit. Now I know better and the stereo receiver is a real gem. It's rigged for both records and CDs and sends a great signal along through headphones which I use because 1 family member works late. It's a good unit at a good price.

Since my daughter was born, classical music has played in her nursery. When the previous receiver stopped working, I looked for a new one that had the latest technology in case I decide to get rid of DirecTV or Sirius. With its Bluetooth technology, any device can be attached to this. So far, this item has worked very well.

Great receiver for the money. 2 sets of speakers are set up on 2 separate channels (front and back) NOT SURROUND SOUND. You have the option to turn only front, only back, both, or neither on. Bluetooth works great

Simple receiver but provides great sound! The Bluetooth quality is very nice, crisp and clean, no distortion at all. Over all very happy with this product and the price!
