I bought both the gold and silver tone version of this necklace. The necklace is represented quite accurately in the online photo. What I did not realize is how large scale and heavy it actually is in person! The larger skulls are bigger than a quarter (coin) and the weight of the necklace is about 7.5 ounces. There are several rows (layers) of graduated sized skulls hanging off large and thick rolo chain links. Rolo chain has circular links that are attached at north/south and east/west intervals. Each of my necklaces had a skull attached on the wrong side of a rolo link. What I mean by this is, that for the skull to hang in a manner asthetically accurate and have uniform placement amongst the other skulls it needs to dangle from the bottom of a link. A skull on each of my necklaces was hung from the top loop of a link which made it dangle outward and have a bigger gap between it and the surrounding skulls. I was able to fix this by prying open the skull hang loop and replacing it to the bottom of the correct link where it hung in shape and equidistant. Also, a skull charm was not at the same count link on one side as the opposite side. Without changing the skull positions on the links, the drape was off as well as having a visible placement gap. Maybe this wouldn't matter or be noticed by everyone, but it was plainly noticeable to me before fixing. The necklaces did take some extra time to ship as they were shipped directly from China. I considered returning them because they were so huge and heavy, but the return shipping probably would have been quite costly considering their weight and shipping distance. Just be sure you are okay with a very LARGE scale and markedly HEAVY necklace. If this sounds okay to you, then the necklaces are pretty cute. I'm afraid that even though I liked them online, they just aren't right for me in person.

This necklace is amazing! I waited a fairly long time to receive it but was happy to find that it's well made, sparkly, and features tons of beautiful skulls when I finally did. The only thing I was surprised about was how large it is... it's definitely a statement piece! This will probably inhibit me from wearing it day to day as planned and instead I'll only wear it with my red bandage dress or something. It definitely needs to be worn with a downplayed, solid colored outfit without it becoming too much. Otherwise love, love, love!

I am a skull fanatic & I saw this & had to have it. I do absolutely love it BUT the price is indicative of the quality which I suspected would be the case. It's chain is the cheapest seeming part & I had to repair a link that was pulled apart when it arrived. Aside from this, the necklace is perfect as a statement piece & I decided to keep it because it is very unique.

I'm not a big fan of writing reviews (I'm not an "expert" on anything). So the whole skull and crossbones style really isn't my thing. But I've lived in Arizona and now Tampa Bay and have been exposed to the individual cultures (Mexico's Day of the Dead and the never ending Pirate theme in Tampa); apparently they have penetrated my brain because I saw this necklace and instantly fell in love. It's all the photos show and more! It's awesome and comes in a storage bag to keep it clean and sparkly! The colors are bright! It's surprisingly heavy - which is the only down side - but it gets lighter and lighter as the compliments fly in. I wear it with jeans and tank tops. I wear it to work with a black skirt and black shirt and funky shoes. If you are feeling like adding some edge to your look - this is a great step to take!

I was super excited for my necklace to come in. And when it did I recieved it broken, I was so heartbroken because it is really pretty and I was going to wear it to an event this week. Looks like I won't.

This necklace sat on my wishlist for way too long!! If you are thinner or younger and have a smaller neck like me you will see that the clasp will need to be put all the way as tight as it can go and will then fall at the wrong place. This is quite awkward and I may cut some metal links off because wrapping the extra chain around to the back isn't as pretty or comfortable. Like other reviewers have said it is heavy, I also wrap it carefully in a scarf so the metal does not discolor. The colors are beautiful although much more pale than the product photo. Review photos do not do it justice it is so much more stunning in person. I love love love love it! The gold was a perfect choice if this looks your style you wont regret this buy.

Fun and sparkly. Colors are not as saturated IRL as the product photo show, but still very pretty. I got the gold metal one w/ multi colored skulls. I thought it would be more rainbow-y, as the product image appears. More pastel. Got compliments from 3 drag queens. It came with a draw string cloth bag for storage or for gifting. I would definitely buy Jane Stone jewelry again. I bought these to go with, thinking the gold was more rose gold. ELBLUVF Alloy Rose Gold Plated CZ Skull Rhinestone Studs Earrings. No one noticed my earring FWIW.
