I've had two of these for 18 months, and recently added two more. There are two things I don't like about them – first the cable. While generous in length (about 5m) it's a basic PVC flex cable rather than the nicer rubber/urethane heavy duty cable (H05RN-F/H07RN-F) that more expensive garden lights come with. So far that hasn't been a problem, but it's probably best to keep it out of the worst of direct sun if possible. Second the sealing is good but not great; fine for rain but if you hit them with a hose or pressure washer, expect some water to get in. The reality is the sealing doesn't actually need to be perfect (they aren't and shouldn't be going underwater) and adequate for the purpose. If water does get in, it's easy enough to open them, remove the bulb, and wipe them out. They are constructed from what seems to be proper stainless steel and haven't shown any rust or corrosion so far. The spike is really strong and of a good length, and has a good swivel joint on it, making it easy to get them pointing where you want them. Finally, because they're 12V, you can install and wire them up (I recommend Wiska Combi junction boxes and glands/grommets) without the need for expensive and disruptive buried armoured cables (as might be required for mains lamps), but they do need a mains to 12V transformer.

I bought these as they were recommended by my gardener. He tells me that they were easy to install. Too early to say how durable they are, but initial impressions are good.
