Nice addition to a nice printer
I needed to be able to use envelopes, labels, letterhead and plain paper. I keep white paper in this tray and use the original tray for the others. I'd say the only downside is that it makes an already large printer even bulkier on my desk, but its not even worth taking away a star for.

It worked right out of the box. The printer ...
It worked right out of the box. The printer recognized it and the computer drivers (win7) did not need to be changed at all to see and use the new drawer.

Excellent item
A little bit challanging for an old fart to figure out how to set it up in the computer but I figured it out (need to go to Start-control panel/printers, single left click (highlight) the 8000 printer then right click it-printing properties-general tab, click preferences at the bottom-choose 2nd tray if that is what you want to mainly print from-select tab "device settings" and then select "installed" from the drop-down menu and then "apply" and "OK"). If you want it to duplex (automatically copy 2 pages on to one, front and back, click duplex on and installed and apply and OK (a word below on it). A no-brainer for the younger generation. Anyway it works great. The #2 tray states to use "regular paper only", so I assume photo paper and envelopes go into the top tray (1), photo side down. I really like the wireless feature of the 8000Pro printer. To change the selection the tray for a project:Start-control panel/printers-printing properties-device setting and choose the tray you want(I don't understand "automatic", or "printer automatic") and I use plain paper in 2 and photo in 1.For duplex it will spit the page out printed on one side, wait a few seconds, it will suck it back in, reverse it, and print on the other side. Pretty nice!
