I liked every different way you could make this. I made it in varying sizes. Each one was different.

Love the pattern. Easy to follow instructions. Have made this twice already and ready to start a new one.

No facing for the bodice. Does not look finished. Wanted to see and give size 4 as a gift. Sadly, there is no loner for bodice so rough edges show.

To be a beginner sewing pattern it was difficult. Finishing the neckline and ruffle sleeves were more for an intermediate sewer.

Needs more instruction

My granddaughter really liked these patterns as sewing lessons.

I have made this pattern twice for my 5 year old grand daughter.....used the ruffled armhole version. Made matching sunhat and little bag to match, both from other Simplicity patterns I have purchased recently. She loves her outfits and wore the first one within 10 minutes of receiving! As I usually do, I altered the back yoke slightly, making an opening because I worried the dress would not go over her head but it would. I use little elastic hairbands for the fastening at the neck as they are cheap to buy and much easier than making a rouleaux or thread loop and you can match to the fabric. I shall be using this pattern again next year. Recommended.
