Colwell covers bases in this book that many never think of beforehand. Well written, easy to understand, gives the extra mile, and doesn't miss anything. Well worth the few bucks if you are thinking of going into business.

The best way to read this book is to only go through the chapters that you need. I didn't need a lot of the chapters, but the ones that I needed did have very good information. The best chapters in my opinion are the later ones where the author explains how to construct a business and marketing plan. Some of the weaker chapters were the ones talking about pricing a product or service. A lot of the information in those chapters were very common sense and repetitive. I also wish they provided more in depth information on how to do research on a market, the advice severely lacked detail.

Perfect for writing a business plan! The book is broken into five sections. Through section 2, 3, and 4 you learn about the ideas behind parts of a business plan, so that in the final section you’re really ready to tackle it. The final section walks you through writing a business plan step by step. Very easy to follow.

I just received this book today and started reading the first chapter. I especially looked at the table of contents because that gives you a lot of information of what you’re going to be learning in the book. I highly recommend it so far it immediately captured my attention and I feel like I’m going to make positive steps forward in building a business. I’m especially encouraged that a professor wrote this book. He’s been there, done that and even wrote the book. I bet he even bought the t-shirt. 🤣 I highly recommend this book because it immediately captured my attention. I believe that it will help me to prepare myself for the upcoming year. Buy it, read it and hit the ground running. Ok?

I was really looking more for a book on how to move forward once you have made all the decisions based on this book .. so, unfortunately, it has had little to no value. But I'm sure a great buy for anyone who is tossing about an IDEA rather than one who has already gotten past these stages.

I really like this guide, I'm a business and management student, reading this during lockdown to help me with planning my first micro online venture, starting with minimal capital. This guide is really comprehensive and covers a great amount of things to consider. You can then go and look at these particular components of a start up in more detail if you wish to, but the book makes you aware of it and provides enough info to have a go and understand the idea.
