TC Helicon DITTO MIC LOOPER Easy to Use Two-Button Looper Pedal for Vocals and Acoustic Instruments

First, I would like to say, that I really wanted to like this looper, but TC Helicon let me down. I am a professional classical/flamenco guitar player and got 2 of these pedals(one from amazon.com) to use them for my performances. It's a simple design and the strong metal body, that is the only good thing about it. Now the problems: after you record a loop and play that loop for about a minute or more, after you push the stop button you get a really loud "POP", which is unacceptable. Both pedals do that, it was a nightmare to make a service request(TC Helicon does not have a phone number for customer support), but that is not the worst part, after they got back to me via e-mail, they told me I had to pay return shipping to them on 2 month old pedal and after I sent it to them I received a replacement pedal that had the same problem. if you stop the loop after playing it for 10-15 seconds it makes a noticeable "Click", but if you play the loop for more then a minute you get a loud "POP". TC Helicon does not fix these pedals, they replace them and I believe they all have that problem and replacement is not going to help. The only thing you can do is lower the volume all the way from the mixer(my setup is: microphone to pedal to mixer to pa speaker) and then push the stop button so you don't get a nasty "POP". I would probably buy a volume pedal to put after Ditto Mic Looper to lower the volume by foot and not by hand from mixer. I am extremely disappointed with the company and the product but unfortunately there aren't many microphone loopers out there. Thank you, Artur

My daughter wanted a looper for Xmas and all I could find were really expensive ones. She's only 9 so while I'm all on when it comes to strengthening musical interests, I didn't want to spend near $1000 on something I wasn't sure she would use. Well, she uses it every time she practices guitar and it has her being more creative, which I love to see. It has invigorated her interest in music and her 8 year old brother and their dad love to mess around with it too! It's really easy to use and the possibilities seem endless. Also even though I bought this for a kid, this is not a toy at all. Definitely made for people with musical interests of all ages and abilities. Oh and the wall cord (power) was included.

Great loop pedal for voice or accoustic instruments work.

Product arrived as specified. I love this pedal the only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because this is my second one. The first purchase from the company's website did not last 1 year without having some issues. I called the company and they offered great customer but told me they did not repair the type of issues I was describing. I had to break down a purchase a new one.

Works simply and nicely. The double-footswitch system is a lot easier and intuitive to use than the more common double-hit required for other pedals - something that can be a bit tough in a performance situation. Good quality, built tough, good value, etc. One thing that has nothing to do with the pedal itself, as I've learned: If it's used to loop a mic'd acoustic instrument while one is singing, the loop will include either the vocal from the monitors or directly from the singer, albeit at a lower-than-direct level. But that can be cool, too.

This is an excellent tool high quality hardware and sound. Technology can be very complicated and time consuming which takes time away from creating music on the frontline. Step on the pedal and go with any sound idea limited only by the imagination no interference from technology back to basics on a higher level. Endless possibilities for my craft good job TC Helicon.

I'm a total novice and I just enjoy learning and keeping myself entertained at home. I play recorder and have been playing trios and quartets. This loop pedal is perfect since it's made for mic use, easy to figure out, and the price is right. I love it!!

This product works exactly as advertised. The two-button operation on the pedal makes this very simple to operate. I have tried it with lots of background percussion for my harmonica. Sounds good, and lots of fun!
