SMK-LinkVP4810 RemotePoint RF Remote Control

I have owned two of these remotes (had to give one to a friend) and they are super awesome! I can't think of one bad thing to say or even an improvement of the remote. You should buy it, you won't be disappointed.Oh, I did think of one thing, sometimes it seems you have to push the clicker two or three times in the beginning of the presentation to kind of get it started, but after that, it is very responsive and fine for the rest of the presentation.Great remote and definitely recommend purchasing.

This item worked for about 2 weeks, then stopped. I narrowed the problem down to the software, which is not manufactured by Interlink. I went to the Interlink and software website, finding minimal info and no software updates. I followed their instructions, repeatedly, and still I cannot get the software to work.The remote supposedly will work without the software, as a remote mouse. It won't even do that.The remote itself is beautiful and handles well. Nice laser pointer and good function key placement. I especially like the rubber coating.I have used various IR and RF remotes while doing presentations. My job is training. This remote is great, but less useful than a rock, with this software.I'm very surprised Interlink makes such great remotes, but has such poor software and support for the software.

upgraded to a new computer with windows 7 from XP, will not work when need to, it will work one time then not at all, tried to find drivers for window 7 can not find anything about it. so may have to replace it, other than that it worked fine with XP.

We have one of these in a Training Room and it has worked so well we bought another to pack with a laptop and portable projector. The software shipped with the remote allows you to customize the buttons and provides several clever as well as practical effects. Though I've not had much experience with other remotes, this one does everything we need it to plus more.

This item is used to control mouse inputs to a PC, in an industrial environment. It does the job well.

I find the remote works nicely most of the time, however, it seems at the most critical moments in a presentation it fails to respond to a slide change. I use it at about 40 feet so I don't think its a range issue. After a couple of clicks it starts working again.

I've used this remote mouse for about 5 years and had no problems. First, I used it in a high school classroom for about three years. The thumb pad/directional thing took a few days to get accustomed to but otherwise it was easy to use. Now, I use it in a college classroom and again have had zero problems. I hate that some of the others reviewing this product have had issues. I've recommended it to multiple teachers with no complaints. Some others teachers in my school purchased a cheaper and smaller remote mouse (around $60) but they ALL hated it (the thumb pad/directional part was too stiff and hard to use) and opted for this one instead.Mac users - you're out of luck! There doesn't appear to be any software to go with a MAC.
