Compared to Lowes | Home Depot, this is a steel. They don't last quite as long as the big box stores, but completely worth if for the price. I will definitely order again.

Usage: resurfacing recycled redwood and cedar planks (ie, soft woods).I used to rely on the more expensive Scotch brand of heavy-duty sanding materials.No more: these belts are half the cost, twice the quantity, and perform the same as the trendy, spendy belts.fyi: the 100 grit belts smooth most cedar and redwood surfaces just fine, whereas the 80 belts leave telltale marks.Once sanded, these woods are ready for staining, finishing and assembly.

I bought these and cut them down for a 1 inch bench sander they work great in the sand stays on for a very long time.

Sanded about 1500 ft of pine floors with this.Yup, sounds nuts, but it was an uneven ("rustic") floor where an orbital floor sander couldn't get to the low spots, and where a drum sander would've eaten the pine up. So, it was a hands-on operation, huge PItA.Got it done, used about 7-8 belts.Floor looks great.

Can't believe the quality for the price. Only on second belt, installing pine trim and doors. Important to regualry use belt sander eraser to keep them clean.

Good delivery time good price. Used them to sand scaffold boards for use as a table.

I ordered 100 grit sanding belts and received 40 grit which is not even listed on the listverry disappointed
