OtterBox Defender Series for HTC One M8 - Retail Packaging - Glacier

otter box lived up to its name great protection and feels solid, i wanted it because it has a inner hard shell with a built in screen protector (on the case cover) and the outside is a rubber (all around) i like this because it dosnt let the phone slide around on any surface, it is a little hard to take it out of pocket but id rather that than to slide off of table, dash, pocket..... and "crash". the volume buttons are integrated into the case and are very responsive. the power button is not covered by the case but i find it easier to push the power button now than without the case. i gave it 4 star just because it is bulky all in all is does a great job! price was great and delivered quickly.

Bought this to protect our work phone which goes to construction sites.Love how it keeps the phone from getting dinged up when someone drops it.It is pretty easy to install on the phone and fits perfect.Only issue was that the protective screen was not included in my box. We were going to get a RMA and get another one but then the guy who uses it said he can read the phone a lot better without the screen! So... we decided to keep it this way. We do have insurance on the phone so if the screen were to get damaged we are covered. Another deciding factor was that we have not ever dropped anything on the screen or banged the screen so... we think it will be just fine without the missing part. I do not recommend others follow suite, it is just what we decided and therefore it plays no part on us not loving the OtterBox Defender Case. In the event, you too were to not receive a part of the case, please let them know immediately and get it exchanged.

UPDATE 2/21/19: My phone has gone down hill since I started using this case. Unfortunately, I found out too late it's because of the case. The flap that covered the charging port put too much pressure on cords when they charged, ultimately bending the port. Now I have to get a new phone. If you get an otterbox, immediately cut the flap off or it will destroy your phone.This was an incredible deal on an OtterBox cell phone cover. I am so happy I got it. I feel like my phone is protected.

Great case for my HTC One M8. This case is rugged and secure and built as if you could drive your car over it or do other things to your phone ( but don't try it ). One of the reasons I bought this was due to the fact that my other phone case was cheap and the clips to make the case connect the device has broken, which i had to find a new case and this was the one, which I love. the phone is always right there on your hip ready for action with the belt clip. The fit was great and there are even little covers that protect the ports on the phone from dust dirt and water intrusion. I would highly recommend buying the case

The case part of the case (the colored part) seemed to work well, but the clip was completely worthless. I am not a particularly strong individual, so I was surprised when the clip immediately broke off on its first use. Thinking it was a fluke, I ordered a replacement, only to have the SECOND one as well break in exactly the same way with even less force (I was trying to be careful this time). Upon further investigation, the part that holds the clip down is extremely small. So small that when it broke off, I lost it and have yet to find the missing piece. If I could find the piece that held it all together, I might be able to fix it myself, but that's not going to happen. If you're going to get this product, I'd recommend the one WITHOUT the clip/holster. Save yourself the money. Honestly, though, if you're not going to bother with a clip, there are equally as good (if not better) products out there for a better price.Tl;dr:Protects the phone, but the clip doesn't work.

I had a HTC One M7 with an Otterbox Defender. One night, my phone slipped out of my pocket onto my garage floor, and I did not realize it. I ran over the phone with my car! The Otterbox showed no damage whatsoever, except for the screen protector which was scratched. I got a new Defender just so I could have an intact screen protector. (Note that the phone was face-down when this happened; your mileage may vary.)

Got one of these for my husband in camo and one for me in hot pink. They look cool, but only but after a couple of months they both began pulling away from the phone in places. Mine started first and my husband was eyeing mine in an accusatory fashion, asking me repeatedly if I had dropped something hot on it or something (I use my phone to look at recipes while cooking and he is very disapproving of this). I swore I had not, which may or may not be true I don't really remember. Either way, when his phone case started doing the same thing I was delighted. He does not cook and only ventures into the kitchen 1) to ask me when dinner is ready or 2) to wash dishes. So the fact that his cover was also pulling away from his phone means that I cannot be blamed for the phone case situation. Booyah.We understand there is a lifetime guarantee and will be collecting on that.

Very awesome case.I always purchase an Otterbox with my new phones and was not disappointed at all with this one. Build quality is right on par with every other case I've purchased and I'm extremely happy with this purchase.I will say that this case is made slightly better than the Lumia 1020 case they manufactured for a while since the corners are all rounded instead of coming to a point. My Lumia otterbox was beginning to come apart between the rubberized case and hardshell due to this.I do this that the company should keep more cases back for warranty purposes as I've experienced some issues with my Lumia case and never could get it replaced do to lack of product.Other than that this case rocks and you won't be disappointed with the protection you get when you throw your device into it.

This is a robust case for the HTC One M8. I'm confident that if I drop the phone, the case will do its job excellently.There's an inner case in two parts, the top part having a built in screen protector - more about that in a bit. It's easy to put the two parts together, and to separate them again you just have to be a bit careful, systematically releasing the six clasps.Then there's an outer silicon shell that provides most of the protection. I found this a bit difficult to get off, and couldn't follow the method in the YouTube video I found. However, by starting at the cover for the power cable I eventually found a reliable way of removing it. Putting it back on again is straightforward.So far, a five star procuct.But.....There is a problem with the built-in screen protector. The designers clearly wanted not to muffle the speakers at the top and bottom of the screen, and so they are not covered. The consequence is that the screen protector is not as taut as it could be, and there is space between the protector and the screen. This has several drawbacks:Dust can get in between the protector and screen, so you have to clean it regularly.The looseness of the protector makes the screen less sensitive than it should be, particularly near the edges of the screen.Using the keyboard, the ill-fit leads to many repppeated letters.When trying to scroll the screen, your initial contact can be interpreted as a tap: so, for instance, trying to scroll through a twitter feed is frustrating because the phone thinks you've tapped to go to a particular tweet.In the end I removed the screen protector (using a hairdryer to melt the glue) and resorted to an ordinary screen protector. This works fine. But given the price of this product they should have engineered it better.I still recommend the case as it is superb at its primary function, but it's not 5 star.

Hmmm, the belt clip is the majority of the product, so if your after that it is a great idea.All a bit tricky to open and get the phone into and even more tricky to open after you split a cup of coffee and you can see the liquid behind the protective cover. On the plus side, my partner hasn't broke his phone yet, so maybe it's doing something!

I had it earlier than my phone! Saved it on the first day, and several other times. My M8 was one from the first birds, still in use , still in the Defender every day... I can just offer it. No scratch on the protective screen, saved my device lot of times. Undistructable. Compliments

2+years later i can confidently say it's done the job. After this much (ab)use the screen protector is showing scratches and could do with a replacement, but my phone looks brand new underneath! Was worth every penny.
